What are some good Wrestlemanias to watch this weekend? I’ve only seen 14 to 22 (or so) and then last year’s.

I’m more interested in recent years because IMO the quality of the show jumped WAY WAY up in 2000 over 98 and 99. I am aware Wrestlemania 98 is often considered a lot better than 2000 but, to be honest, I didn’t find it nearly as good. Wrestlemania 13/97 has Bret vs Austin, I’ve seen that match - and it is one of my favourites of all time - but I haven’t seen the rest of the show.

In 98 and 99, the PPVs all seemed about the same in quality, with Mick Foley and the Rock being the ones that made things interesting (they told stories in their matches, if that makes sense; Austin too, to an extent, but he couldn’t wrestle well at this point, I assume due to his neck, IMO he was a lot better in the ring during his last run); but for the other 85% of the show, I’d almost rather be watching the shorter spot matches on RAW because the PPVs were more or less those on repeat with a lot of lying down catching a breath, or punching/whipping.

2000 was complained about because of the lack of singles matches and Triple H winning over the Rock. That didn’t bother me at all, and I found this triangle ladder match was better than the “TLC” matches later (which were the same thing, just different branding and less brand hyping). I could be wrong, it might have just been more impactful because it was the first time I had ever seen anything like that - Hardy’s vs Edge and Christian ladder match was my favourite match of 99, that would be the closest thing. Then there was Benoit vs. Jericho vs Angle which ALSO blew my mind a little and made me a huge fan of those three going forward. 17-20, I don’t think I really need to say anything about these, they’re already universally well rated and get the proper recognition. It’s really only 98 I feel is overrated and 2000 I feel underrated - again, it might just be my tastes.

For what it’s worth, I also really enjoyed the last Wrestlemania. I think the only thing I didn’t like all that much was Orton vs Wyatt - found the match a little slow and gimmicky. I thought Reigns vs Taker was fairly good despite the lower wrestling skill - I liked the story, even the silly floor punching Reigns did was entertaining, loved the ending; many hated it.

Anyway, any recommendations for other Wrestlemanias to watch leading up to this one?

Wrestlemania 31 was really good imo.

Depends if you want to watch "matches" or the whole card. If you want the whole card, nothing wrong with watching Wrestlemania X (Two Bret matches, plus the ladder match). If you wanna watch matches, Hogan vs Rock was pretty damn epic and I wish I wasn't in high school then cause it would have been worth the money to watch that live (I'm from Toronto). Shawn vs Bret at mania was good I guess (I never actually watched it cause I was at a hockey banquet when it happened and I haven't been bothered to watch it.) Jericho vs Michaels is another good one. I surprisingly can't think of anymore other than maybe Hogan manias (He headlined the first 8) and WWE was a bit more of a spectacle back then (T.V. in general).

WrestleMania Time!!!

I'mma post my predictions:
WWE Title: Shinsuke Nakamura
Universal Title: Roman Reigns
IC Title: Seth Rollins
US Title: Rusev
Raw Women's Title: Nia Jax
SD Women's Title: Asuka
Raw Tag Titles: Strowman and his partner
SD Tag Titles: The Bludgeon Brothers
Mixed Tag: Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey
Tag Team: Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon
Cruiserweight Title: Cedric Alexander
Women's Battle Royal: Sasha Banks
Men's Battle Royal: Elias

Wrestlemania 25 was kind of a trainwreck except for a really good match which is The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels. I'd suggest watching it free on Youtube.

I think you've mentioned you watched it, but you can never go wrong with 17.

Wrestlemania 30 was the last good one overall with some strong points.

Just so I have it somewhere. I am calling Taker returning as The American Badass to a live intro from Kid Rock. It's just too perfect with Kid Rock being introduced into the HOF, and already being there. Plus Taker laying down the hat and dead man gear last year.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

I'm wondering what the main event will be. I just can't imagine the fans will be satisfied with Reigns-Lesnar going on last.

Interesting to see the highest paid WWE Wrestlers:

1. John Cena - $10 million
2. Brock Lesnar - $6.5 million
3. Roman Reigns - $4.3 million
4. AJ Styles - $3.5 million
5. Triple H - $3.2 million
6. Randy Orton - $2.9 million
7. Seth Rollins - $2.7 million
8. The Undertaker - $2.5 million
9. Dean Ambrose - $2.2 million
10. Kevin Owens - $2.0 million

I’m a little surprised Asuka, Strowman, and Charlotte Flair didn’t make the list. I’m very surprised Triple H is only 5th, that no McMahons are on it, and that Cena is in the stratosphere.

Wow Lesnar payed several millions to show up a few times a year.

That surprises you but 'Taker's #8 position doesn't?
