Forums - Gaming - I've decided not to buy it.

Nothing as of yet, still plan on getting the PS4 Pro.

Still getting PS Quad Pro, and FFXV.

Not buying a PS4 Pro because I don't see the point in buying the same console twice for some spit shine. I didn't take the bait with 32X, I'm not taking the bait now. The same goes for Xbox One S. I have one. I don't need another.

As for VR, it's basically beta. Most people can't wear it for very long, it's huge and bulky, the tech isn't there yet (for me anyway) and it's too expensive. I didn't take the bait on Sega CD, I'm not taking the bait now. When VR becomes something where you jack in and can't differentiate between real life and virtual life, sure, I'll bite.

I decided not to jump in and buy PSVR without having seen reviews and user feedback first...

Damn it, is noone actually gonna buy VR?!

Barely anyone talks about VR on VGC and almost nobody is excited. I was extremely excited in the past but with the lack of general hype, and after realizing the limitations of VR (bad controls and movement in VR games, no killer apps, not even good future ideas exist yet) my excitement too has vaned.

The HTC Vive costs 1000 Euros here, which simply is far too much for sumthing that will be obsolete when the next iteration of VR cums out with higher resolution, which is probably 2017.

And Sony VR has a bad quality in the original PS4, and I haven't yet heard anything that convinces me it runs in beautiful grafix on the PS4 Pro. Also, PS4 VR while cheaper is still quite expensive to play more or less "demo experiences". You just get into a world, look around at the marvel and experience it for 20 minutes at a a time, they not feel really like games.

But still, it's so sad that our members simply aren't excited for VR.

I want the first generation of HTC Vive to sell 10 million copies, and Oculus Rift to sell 5 million and the PS4 VR to sell 20 million, but they will probably only sell like 10% of that.

VR right now is where Sega CD was when it came out in 1992. It's this new, exciting tech that's totally undercooked and raw. It has all the promise in the world and one day, will obviously power some of the greatest experiences we've ever seen. But that day is not today. Right now, you're paying alot of money for glimps into the future. It's not ready for primetime.

It's on top of my list. It's my local store that still has no clue whether they can get psvr this year. Yet they already know to call me when it becomes available.

Why do you say it has bad quality on base ps4? So far I've only read good things about it. It has gone quiet though thanks to the 4K console battle firing on all cylinders. And just demo experiences? Play all of DC plus new city tracks in VR, that's not a demo. I'm also wondering what the pro can bring, true 120fps instead of 60fps reprojected, or is it going to use supersampling and stay at 60fps.

I'm going to hold off on the 4K hype. True 10 bit HDR tvs are simply not mature enough yet and/or ridiculously expensive like the ZD9 and KS9000. Plus I prefer projection, bigger screen over sharper pixels, immersion over realness, hence VR is first for me.

I want new experiences most, hence I just enjoyed Virginia on ps4, not really a game either. Well PSVR and TLG! And a mini NES. Anything but the next realistic looking shooter :) PSVR asap, ship some to Canada Sony!

*limited quantities available, Pre-orders are not available at the moment, Releaes October 13th CAD 549 base, CAD 699 Bundle.
Bestbuy only lists 6 VR games atm: Batman Arkam VR, RIGS: mechanized combat league, VR Worlds, Eagle flight, Star Trek bridge crew and Wherewolves within.

No VR, no PS4 Pro, no PS4 slim.

If anything, my next consoles are going to be an Xbox One S, a Wii U and/ or NX. Even then, I doubt they'll get me too far away from Legion and Civ 6.

I guess that TGS helped me decide to wait an see what the NX has to offer instead of wasting my money on a PS4 on this holidays, but some good and exclusive JRPGs might show up in this year's Playstation Experience and change my mind again, who knows.

I haven't decided if i'm going to buy a new 3ds or rebuy 2ds (sold mine earlier this year, but i'd like to play the Corpse party remake and SMT apocalypse) or not because a) no idea how good (or not) the holiday deals will be and b) waiting for NX reveal. #1 priority is still the Ps4+Vita games I plan to purchase, this matter will depend on how a) and b) go.

Yeah, I also really want to get the Corpse Party remake. I have Blood Drive even though I don't have a Vita and I imported the PSP version of Blld Covered despite having terrible knowledge of Japanese.

im gonna get nes mini
