Why not? If people are holding out for PSVR and Pro it should be the worst the month before release.

Or is there some big September release I've missed?

There has not been an exclusive for the PS4 since Uncharted 4, and either way, xl-klaudkil was talking about the PS4 Pro, and when that releases, The Last Guardian will be on the market for two weeks, Dragon Quest Builders will have its Western Release about 20 days before The Last GuardianGravity Rush 2 will be close to being released, Ni-Oh will be released soon after that, with Horizon coming out two months later, Gran Turismo Sport soon releasing, and then Persona 5 in February as well. Not to mention the amount of PSVR exclusives that will be released, but let's not get into that. Plenty of exclusives friend

When Ethomaz was on here, I don't believe he had access to any numbers.  Not sure if he has access now or not.  May just be a guess of his.

Amazon has so far proven quite a reliable outlet to determine US home console sales this gen, and currently the PS4 is doing very well on Amazon. The PS4 Black Ops 3 bundle is currently the best selling console in the Hourlies (excluding the PS4P), and the LE Uncharted 4 bundle is creeping up on the highest XB1s bundle.
