Neither interest me because I don't plan on adopting 4k any time soon. In 2017. if multiplats continue to be superior on the PS4, I will pick up a vanilla PS4. If the scorpio turns out to be good and improve graphics across the board (regardless of 4K) then I will pick up one when the price is right.
The Scorpio is a complete misfire too. Yes, the specs seem good, but do the mass consumers really want a 4K disc drive and if the cost is more than $500, its going to be a complete flop.

You seem under the impression that the only benefit of PS4 NEO/Pro is 4k resolution, which won't matter if you don't have 4K TV.
Far from it.
Reports are clear that devs are giving their NEO/Pro version options where you can select 4k output, OR max FPS/FX in 1080p.
(which may be higher than PS4og is able to accomplish if it was upscaling from 900p, plus benefits of FPS and higher FX levels).
Even if a given game doesn't allow those options, downscaling from higher res ~4k to 1080p output still results in better image quality.
Perhaps an upgrade isn't urgent if you already own a PS4, but if a new Playstation purchase, you should consider a NEO/Pro IMHO.
4K/UHD Blu Ray drives themselves are not especially more expensive, the standalone UHD players are because the need more processing power,
but any of the consoles already has that covered (as well as HDR color), so the difference in cost isn't enough to affect consumer purchase price.
As to how Scorpio is priced, and how that affects sales, I guess we'll see...
