Forums - Nintendo - Mario MAker coming to the the 3DS with 100 levels already pre loaded

No it doesn't make the WiiU version more pointless. Do you even think the things you write?

You cannot upload or download levels, you cannot give stars or comments to anyone, one of the biggest reasons why Mario Maker is so damn unique and engaging is missing here, how can't you see it?

I didn't watch the direct cause it was too early but is this true? Like can u play levels created by others at all? Cause if not, why would anyone get the 3ds version if they have a wiiU? loll

Essentially, its like one game gives you endless levels while the other gives you 100

No online levels is a rip off to be honest, seems like they basically saving that for the inevitable Mario Maker NX. I don't see the technical reason for that.

So it sounds like the 3DS version is pointless then?

Compared to the WiiU? The 3ds has way more reasons to be seen as pointless yes, however the Op wants to see it the other way even when it doesn't make sense.

You can only locally or with street pass. No global sharing, no stars, no comments. Is clearly a lesser experience.

I don't really get the whole "lets be mad now" ... what about the kid who's parent is never going to buy him a $300 Wii U and all he/she has is a 3DS?

They deserve Mario Maker too. Who knows, maybe some of the kids who play Mario Maker on the 3DS will follow a career into game design. This is a game I wish I had when I was 10/11 years old, I would've devoured it.

This game deserves to be played by every Nintendo fan, not just the 15% of them that bought a Wii U. I'm not upset about that as a Wii U owner.

I do think though shame on Nintendo for not allowing online sharing.

It's very impressive that this game can run on the 3DS. Good job Nintendo!
It's only a matter of time when we will see this game on NX too.

I SCREAMED when I saw this! Very early in the video too!

Wii U is a sales disaster inspite of having notable games. Therefore it makes sense to bring those games to a console like 3DS when possible.

Anywho, if this version doesn't allow for level sharing online then fuck it.

People (including me) believes those ports were coming to NX, not 3DS.

3DS has gotten some and I'm sure NX will get some as well.

Bear in mind NX appears to be a successor 3DS and Wii U. Although 3DS will be around longer given userbase and low price.

Surely this gears up perfectly to show why a unified handheld/home console platform is actually a pretty decent direction for Nintendo to take?

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Im not buying a gimped port. Wii U is the definitive way to experience Mario maker. Same with Woolly world. Hopefully justice prevails, and the 3DS versions dont outsell the originals.
