Forums - Gaming - WatchMojo: Top 10 Video Game Franchises Whose Futures We’re Concerned About

There are some odd choices in this list. For example, Animal Crossing?? Happy Home Designer and Amiibo Festival are titles Nintendo developed quickly so that the Wiiu and 3DS would have some games. The inclusions of The Elder Scrolls, Half-Life and Halo also don't make much sense. Some might argue that RE and Far Cry are also odd picks, but I wouldn't put in the same boat as the others I've mentioned. The rest are easy targets anyone could come up with. Those easy targets are: Devil may Cry, Metroid, Star Fox and MGS.

Keiner kann ihn bremsen, keiner macht ihm was vor. Immer der richtige Schuss, immer zur richtigen Zeit. Superfussball, Fairer Fussball. Er ist unser Torschützenkönig und Held.

My thoughts on the video:
Resident Evil? 7 is on the way and it's changing it's format, less of what he had an issue with.
Elder Scrolls? The next game will sell bucket loads.
Animal Crossing? Will surely appear on the next Nintendo handheld and sell well.
Far Cry? They moan about core gameplay in a game moving forward in setting but without the core gameplay it's not the same games series (looking at you FF).
DMC? I think it's dead, Jim.
Metroid? Yeah, I think we are all worried. Voicing the character didn't succeed.
Star Fox? Yeah, well.... I think the game/gameplay is the wrong era. Let the characters stick to Smash Bros.
Halo? Nope, that's fine, MS just need to invest in good story and stable MP.
Metal Gear? Konami needs to let it die.
Half-Life? Why even mention this series? It's long gone.

Hmm, pie.

Half of these are not even that worrying. Animal Crossing, Resident Evil, Far Cry and TES just need a new main installment after so many spin-offs, Halo just needs a competent story and there will be a new Metroid and DMC eventually. Half-Life is gone, because Valve doesn't need to make videogames anymore, and MGS is dead until it's gone from Konami's grasp. StarFox is an interesting beast, because it's gameplay is a relic of times past, maybe they need a full gameplay change.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Top 10 Video Game Franchises Whose Futures We’re Concerned
Here I will make a better list in ten minutes:

Assassin Creed
Sports Franchises (Have like a whole list on this)
Konami Franchises not just MGS (Have about five titles on this one)
Team Fortress
Megaman
Sonic (even with 2 good games possibly coming, always be concerned)
After The Last Guardian
Star Fox (This one I agree with)
Star Wars (because EA)
Um I need one more, I guess personal one for me Tales of.

This is if I rushed the list, if I did actual research, I could find couple of titles.

There were some rumors about Devil May Cry 5 getting revealed at TGS. We'll see how that turns out.

Didn't watch the video, by the way

Animal Crossing is starting to gain momentum if you ask me.. when Nintendo releases another non-spinoff AC game, it will do just fine
