Oh I see :). But the PS3 is only selling on par with the PS2 because the PS2 was released in Japan way earlier than NA or EU. Also the PS3 has just had a christmas boost.

Expect the PS3 to hit 15 million when the XBox 360 hits 20 million.

Yep I remeber soriku and rol ps3 will barely hit 5 million by the end of 2007, and john lucas saying it wont hit 9 million by the end of 07. Rol even said 2007 was going to be the ps3's best year.

People are still expecting the ps3 to be cancelled this year, they even have it in there sig. Denial is not a way to feel better.

I'm going to predict 120k hardware sales for the PS3, with 450k software sales for GT5 Prologue.

I like to be conservative.

Some retailers are giving away PS3's in promotions such as signing up for 24 month mobile phone plans or Sony HDTV purchases. There are retailers offering PS3's on interest free credit terms up to 48 months interest free. Time to get a PS3 when you see offers like that.

There are far more companies giving away free Xbox 360 Arcades when you sign up, for example Orange and Phones 4 U are giving them away with every new contract signed over a certain amount, so that argument is mute :P

I'm still to understand if these deals are good for the companies, as do they buy the consoles off Sony and MS? I would assume so...

I wonder if free consoles count in sold figures? They should do because I bet that the consoles were sold to the retailer for a cheap wholesale price.
