Mhm...I'm one of those people that has a data cap. So? Just because they cut your speed doesn't stop you from anything. It'll just take longer. And as for the reviews....every other dev seems to get by fine with day one patches without instantly being shit on by critics (unless the game is actually shit). If they're that panicked about it they can just extend the embargo on the reviews to make sure the patch gets taken into account. This is standard stuff.

Literally the only people this benefits is people with no internet access at all.

Which is good. A world where we protect and ensure the people with the most need have their needs met is a better place to live in...in this case people with no interne (whatever the reason may be) t who would have to play a broken game.

We have enough for everyone's need, but not enough for everyone's greed.

So, when they have eventual DLC content and patches (Every massive sandbox RPG game has patches), will you be mad they didn't cater towards everyone? Also will you be mad when the next square enix game does have day 1 patch?

Add: By the way, I don't buy the reason personally, it is just way to fishy, because the publisher did not delay games before for this reason. Hell, Deux Ex, might have one. (Thank god, that is this month, at least that game is coming).

Nope as they first went in with good intentions and at least tried to do the right thing. I will send out a wish to the universe for people without internet to somehow get some to be able to enjoy these patches and DLC's. If fate wishes, they will enjoy them, if not better things may yet be in store for those people anyway :)

Also I fully expect the game to still have a day 1 patch anyway, just one which irons out more minor issues than from what it sounds like are issues that are gonna harm peoples experience in a biiig way had the avoided the present delay.

And I won't begrudge those people if they stand up and cheer, but I will look rather questionably at all the people here who clearly have internet acting like this is some great development for them, as if they actually benefit.

That moment when a game takes longer to release than the last guardian. Also that reasoning.... I will get the miyamoto meme ready just in case.

We all benefit as the world becomes more inclusive and thoughtful. Sometimes not in the short term, but definitely in the long term.

Looking at people questionably for having empathy towards those with no internet is great! Ask them questions! Discussion and debate only move things forward!

good move, it means the game will be ready for Neo mode. Which means the game will exclusively run in 60fps only on PS during launch and for months to come

it's a good news for me because too many games to play recently, really not enough time if it release next month

Right....I'll just leave you to your soap box then. Glad Square Enix is such a champion for progress to members of this forum. Very enlightening
