Contrary to recent rumours, AMD slooks to be in the starting to provide the inner silicon for Nintendo NX according to this article that flew under the radar 3 weeks ago:

I don't know... That first article does says:

"In this calendar quarter AMD has won orders from Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo".

But their source sais:

"A more immediate effect could be visible in the EESC (Enterprise, Embedded and Semi-Custom) segment, as the company has secured three orders for semi-custom chips used in game consoles. These orders are believed to be for Sony’s (SNE) PlayStation 4.5, Microsoft’s (MSFT) Xbox 1.5, and the Nintendo NX."

I think at least this one is based on info we already had. UPDATE: The second article doesn't even link a source...

Agreed. I'm tired of the rumors and people throwing their needs/wants/desires for the next console as some sort of fact.

Let's not forget that the first Article was made before the Xbox One S launched, which carry's a revised chip. So it could actually be in reference to the Xbox One S, Scorpio and Neo rather than anything tied to the NX.

I just want Nintendo to pull it's finger out.

Nintendo might be enjoying themselves with all these rumors getting the NX word around.

For sure. They are winning news cycles.
Let's hope the device doesn't get overhyped into Oblivion like the Wii U,  only to have those expectations destroyed.

Nothing will change no matter what the NX will be. Half will laugh at it, half will hype it and all Nintendo fans are gonna buy it regardless.
