I guess you're talking about the 2001 Ocean's Eleven?
Because that was a remake as well.

Not horrible, especially after being saved by China.....we all knew it would bomb elsewhere......but still disappointing. Ghostbusters had a terrible trailer just like Star trek. Too bad for Star Trek that it is supposedly actually good. |
Actually the movie did well in all territories except for North America. It did exceptionally well in China though, crazy. It's like 15M$ shy of breaking even so I am pretty positive it will once it hits DVD/BD.

If not for the internets extreme interest in Sony being attached to this I'd of never known Sony made this film. I find that odd. |
Yeah, I don't care, either, and never check on my own, just as I don't care who publishes a game.
A lot of it has to do where we are, I guess. Look at the title of this thread. It's not the title of the article. Sony itself will probably only be on the hook for part of that loss. Here, though, everything has to revolve around Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft, even when that's not an accurate view of the situation.
As for the "loss" part, I understand box office totals are a metric people use to compare movie success and failure but it makes little sense in real-world terms. Profits do not stop after a movie leaves theaters. That's only the first part of the equation. In this thread, though, that fact is mostly ignored, probably because it goes counter to whatever agendas are floating around.

I don't care what you guys say. I enjoyed the movie. Characters were good outside of hemsworth. Story was fine for a origin story. I laughed at the jokes and had a good time. Too bad we won't see Zuul or a sequel.
Terrible movie getting dissapointing numbers, the universe is at peace.

Yep, like I said I wouldn't have known Sony made this (or cared really) if not for the strong internet interest in the fact they made it (and I assume glee it flopped).
It is odd to me. You could name 10 movies and I'd probably not be able to name the corporation responsible for funding them. I can't even think of a reason why I would want to know.
l <---- Do you mean this glitch Gribble? If not, I'll keep looking.
I am on the other side of my sig....am I warm or cold?
