I'm starting to think I'm the only person who doesn't know, care or pay attention to which company made whatever movie I've either seen or have intentions of seeing.

If not for the internets extreme interest in Sony being attached to this I'd of never known Sony made this film.  I find that odd.

Yeah, I don't care, either, and never check on my own, just as I don't care who publishes a game.

A lot of it has to do where we are, I guess.  Look at the title of this thread.  It's not the title of the article.  Sony itself will probably only be on the hook for part of that loss.  Here, though, everything has to revolve around Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft, even when that's not an accurate view of the situation.

As for the "loss" part, I understand box office totals are a metric people use to compare movie success and failure but it makes little sense in real-world terms.  Profits do not stop after a movie leaves theaters.  That's only the first part of the equation.  In this thread, though, that fact is mostly ignored, probably because it goes counter to whatever agendas are floating around.
