Forums - Gaming - What is the most disappointing E3 conference you've ever experienced?

Probably Nintendo 2015.

Literally every E3 conference I've ever watched has been a disappointment. Gaming media hype it up so much that it's impossible for it not to disappoint

Nintendo 2015 the thread. That was just a disaster. I actually like the digital event format, but you need to show something fun or exciting.

Sigh, this makes me miss Iwata.

More recently, Sony's presser at this E3 was super disappointing. As someone who's bearish on VR and exhausted by cinematic storytelling, there was little to excite me. Horizon and TLG look great, but God of War looked mediocre - and a far cry from what made the series great in the first place. Days Gone seems like a me-too post-apocalyptic zombie game and who the heck knows what Death Stranding is. It's like that drug trip I saw in that movie when I was on that drug trip.

Nintendo 2008?

Probably Nintendo 2015 but also PC E3 2015 and 2016, never has the latter bored me twice in a row and it being a recent attendant to the board.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Nintendo E3 2015 easily. As a minor Sony fan and a huge Nintendo fan, it was probably the only year where I enjoyed the Sony conference more.

I'd say any EA conference since 2013, they bore to death. Furthermore, they only show people talking about Mass Effect Andromeda, anyway (exaggeration, yes).

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.
