After 20 years of release, Wah (Dr Abrasive) cracked the hardware-based DRM protection for Saturn games allowing for games to be played via USB:

I'm sure sales will recover from this when the a Sonic game comes out on Saturn.



Why didn't other companies use this method of copy protection if it was so successful?

Is it because in reality it's nothing special, it just stayed unhacked because most hackers simply didn't care?



It won't have any impact. It will still be a huge success and 20 years from now in 2016 Sega will be the only console manufacturer still standing having purchased nintendo.
