What if Nintendo sold its games on dedicated hardware AND PC, like Microsoft? Would you forgive the carbon footprint and withdraw your claims of "milking" - which I guess by your definition means charging money for something you don't want to buy.

Nintendo is charging extra money for things I DO want, their games. I don't know where you got that backwards.

I will forgive them AND Microsoft if they scrap their consoles altogether and release their games on both PC and PS4. That will certainly decrease the carbon footprint and make every gamer pretty happy.

But that will create a monopoly in the home console business by doing that.

There's nothing to get backward. The provocative post that started this debate quoted Nintendo plastic as the cause of "milking." That's Nintendo charging money for something you don't want, correct? The plastic that plays the games you DO want? Correct me if I'm mistaken.

Based on your posts over the years, I assume you have a good amount of disposable income. Surely you could scrap together $200-$300 to buy a WiiU if you want to play Nintendo games that badly.

Anyway, I don't think you can describe the act of manufacturing and selling a product as "milking." There has to be some element of manipulation or exploitation or, worse, fraud. But I suspect you know that.

Amiibo sure fits that aspect of your description.

Great work chopping out the middle of the sentence, completely changing its meaning. Anything useful to contribute to this discussion?

I chopped the middle part out to emphasize your inclusion of the first part.

EA does the most then Activision.

I have trouble with this question because most of the time you don't need to buy anything else to enjoy yourself. That people DO buy additional content means there IS a demand and I'm not going to criticize anyone for meeting a demand.

The only time I have a problem is when that demand is forced--for instance, when grinding is made harder to coerce people into buying upgrades. That, or when something clearly has been cut and brought back as DLC. And, no, I don't mean just because people on forums think that's the case because they want to rant about DLC, I mean when it can be proven, such as when older entries in a series have a lot more content.

With that in mind, I'm going to say Capcom.

EA and Activision..
