Forums - Gaming Discussion - What is the gaming company that milks gamers the most?

Because of DLC buffets, endless sequels, stuff to buy in order to play, stuff you need to buy in order to have the whole gaming experience, etc.?

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

EA. No question about it, they do everything to scrape up some quick cash.

Activision is the only proper answer:

-DLC Buffet: CoD
-Endless Sequels: CoD, Skylanders
-Stuff to buy: Skylanders figures, etc

There's a lot that I'm missing, probably. But it became apparent from those few examples.

bet: lost

It's a tough call between EA and Activision, with Ubisoft also entering the race. They're all pretty cynical. Lots of dubiously priced DLC, microtransactions, DRM, annualized series, accusations of media manipulation, content locked behind paywals, etc.

Although it's worth pointing out that neither company is forcing us to do anything. If they are milking us it's because we're allowing ourselves to be milked.

Hmm.... probably activision.

Blizzard

If you add the price of the console just to play a few Nintendo games, then Nintendo.

Electronic Arts, they do it a lot in their console/PC games with DLC and pre-orders, microtransactions and whatnot but it's when you see what they do on mobile devices that you see the true extent of their greediness (Dungeon Keeper mobile comes to mind).

Signature goes here!

Activision.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

EA hands down.

Especially referring to their sports game. Each year they offer the EXACT same sports game with minor tweaks that can easily be done with a slight update just like how other games does it, but instead those slight updates come in the form of next year's game and slapping on a full price tag! (and they may add in a few cheap 'modes' just to make it feel like it's a whole new experience)

Sure companies can milk a game with DLC etc...but only EA is milking it with the actual game itself! I guess this could be said about 2K and their sports games too but EA is the original lol

I disagree with anybody that says Activision with their CoD games because at least each CoD has a new campaign and MP. More work and effort are put into that than any of EA's sports game.
