Ive been thinking about this and like most people I thought ms would drop the price for gta launch but like many people have pointed out both systems will see there products sales increase because of this game anyway. I think ms might hold of droping the price till around mgs4 drops for the ps3......shock lol. I mean lets face it there is little ms can do against that beast of a game but lets say they really blitz marketing gta for the 360 and see a good sales increase to keep there ball rolling and take away some of sony thunder drop the price of the 360 at the start of june maybe a week or 2 before mgs4. Know before I get jumped on about how mgs will steem roll over everything no matter what I really think from a consumers point of view this could be ms best chance of blunting sony hit. What you guys think?

PS3 will get its WW Price cut this year NEAR Gears 2 and so NEAR RES2/KZ 2/LBP

i expect microsoft to cut prices when metal gear solid iv hits.. and i expect sony to cut prices around august

I still believe that MS will drop the price of the 360 a week before GTA IV comes out. That maximizes the units sold at current price and gives a distinct advantage over PS3 when GTA IV hits the street. MS surely wanted to wait until a price cut will minimize the effect on the first quarter financials (MS 3rd Quarter) which ends on Monday. With 30 day price guarantees MS wants to wait until almost GTA IV release before cutting the price.

 I don't know if you consider Devil May Cry 4 a huge multi platform but the bundle existed at least in japan, I think. Also Call of Duty 3, Pro evolution soccer 6,  had bundles with X360 at least in europe.

I don't think either console will drop in America. I think that just a £25 drop on the PS3 would be enough to stimulate sales.

Not from sony, but I do expect one huge cut from microsoft.

If Sony are bringing out this GTA bundle (Europe only?) then I seriously doubt there'll be a price cut too. I'd be equally surprised if Microsoft DIDN'T have a price cut in America considering the European one. So Microsoft - yes in America, no in Europe, Sony - maybe in America (but more likely to bundle), no in Europe (bundle instead).
