Saying Nintendo stole offset sticks from the Dreamcast, when the Dreamcast only had one stick is a cringe worthy moment. Sorry I made such a big deal about it. Can we all be friends now? I'm just stating a fact, not trying to be an @hole. Please understand. RIP Iwata.

I'm not trying to be antagonistic, I'm just pointing that who got what from where is an argument that never turns out well.  As for comment you quoted, I just assumed he meant the positioning of the stick and used the wrong phrasing.

It's all good.  =]

Thanks. I'm not a troll trying to harass people. I want to make friends, not enemies. I didn't see the point of intrinsic's comment.

Yes, who stole what from who is a "thin ice" place to go. I don't want to fall through. Thanks for saving me.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

xbox 360 controller is the perfect controller.

Wrong thumbstick placement and shitty d-pad.

Perhaps he's talking about the pro controller.

That's what I assumed he's talking about.

I see. Do you like any controller besides a dualshock?

Hey there. This is the third controller thread I've seen today. Controllers must be a hot topic right now. The ultimate controller ever made was the Game Cube controller. You do realize it was out before the first X Box controller and had the offset stick configuration. MicroSoft stole the offset stick setup from Nintendo.
Having a swappable component OEM controller is a cool idea, but it would not be a pack in controller. It would be an elite OEM that would sell separately.

It is a really great controller but they actually took a lot of inspiration from the Saturn NiGHTS controller and later Dreamcast (which was the blueprint for the first XBox controller). In many ways the Gamecube controller is like a mix of Saturn NiGHTS and N64 controllers mixed together.

Give me the 360 controller with a Sega Genesis d-pad and I'm in controller nirvana.

My guess is because people are really hard on controllers. They drop, they fall, they sometimes get thrown (!)

Modular would be another place to break and or get loose.

Otherwise, yea, seems like a good idea. They have a little with the Xbox One Elite, but not as fancy as you idea.

Although there could be some patents messing everything up.

I think patents might be the big obstacle here. As long as the build quality is up to par, I think they could have big demand.

I want modular controller and console, N64 is my favorite console ever. :)

Maybe we should go into business together!  We make a great modifiable controller, them Microsoft, MaddKatz or someone, buys us out, profit!

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

That would be awesome :).

I'm fairly certain that they would be more expensive than a normal controller. With that being said, I don't mind if the controller is optional.
