Soundwave said: I like this season because the plot feels like it's actually moving forward with momentum, before this it was always "oh here's scene 2038393 of Dany riding on a dragon, isn't it majestic!" ... like I always felt in the past the show was trying to hold off plot points for as long as possible, like I was afraid this episode would just end in mid-battle for instance like they did before. |
I agree completely, season 4 & 5 had great moments but alot of the plots just stalled out, Bran's story was completely absent from season 5, the events of Riverrun were completely absent from seasons 4 & 5, Arya went to Braavos to get hit with a stick 1000 times, Dany had finally built up a big army at the end of season 3 just to sit around in Meeren and seemingly forget about taking back Westeros, the Greyjoy story seemed to be going nowhere.
Like I said, they did have some great episodes and plotlines but the ones listed above either were absent or felt like they werent going anywhere.
