I suggest not buying any of the wii u's and just wait for a price drop. It's way too high for a discontinued console.

How much even is the system now? Considering the X1 is €279 and the PS4 is around €299, given that both those systems have at least another 2-3 years of life in them and the Wii-U is already passed its sell by date you would expect it to be sub 200 with a few titles by now, just to drop stock.

That is nuts that the Wii-U is close on to being the most expensive of the 3 systems, in fact considering the fact that MK8 is cheaper than Uncharted 4 if bought alone that bundle is the most expensive for a console.... insanity.

Edit - Right after taking another look at the offerings from Argos the Wii-U is without a doubt the most expensive of the 3 current gen consoles they're offering. Just, crazy to try to recommend buying one of those right now over the X1 or the PS4.

Basically $300 for bundled wii u. Nintendo seems to think that their console is worth alot more than a xbox one. It never got a price cut from my understanding either. 

On gamestop, you can get a 500 gb xbox one with with digital copies of gears of war remastered and Forza 6 for $280. It also comes with a $50 gift card.

Poeple are better off waiting til retailers discount wii u's to the point of giving it away. 

Ah, you took a deeper look into it. It's crazy to think that nintendo is charging what they are compared to the competition and the fact that their console is their worst selling ever. Since the NX is right around the corner and nintendo is not doing any deals, retailers are likely to give the console away to clear inventory. I doubt they'll sell half of it before nx hits shelves to be honest. 

Also think about it this way, they've been left with a ton of pretty much unsellable Wii-U models now, with no rebate from Nintendo they're left with the choice of either holding onto the worthless stock or else taking the hit from it themselves and reducing the price. Considering Nintendo isn't exactly great at PR this could be a bad move when it comes to convincing stores to even begin ordering in the NX system, once bitten twice shy and all that.

But yeah when you look at that X1 model with Ori and it has the Rare Replay collection with it, I mean that is 31 games, some of the rare replay stuff are full X360 games too, so absolutesly tons to do with the system for €70 less than the price of the Wii-U, also Argos have an offer of €12 for 3 months of Xbox live with a new console, so if you get that as well you'll have 6 more titles from the Games with Gold on the X1, so a far more powerful console with 36 more games... for €56 less. And the obvious fact that the X1 has a future where as the Wii-U clearly hasn't had one for some time.

Would be an insane time to decide to buy a Wii-U now imo.

Granted I just did a very quick search, but the Wii U is still the cheapest one in Sweden (by a small margin). This doesn't help the point at all though, it should be much cheaper, especially when the NX is just around the corner :/

Oh yeah there is some shops you can probably get the WiiU cheaper here in Ireland too, especially if they are second hand game shops since those price consoles by demand so in CEX right now you can land a Wii-U for €195 but a X1 will cost you €270 and a PS4 comes in at €295 but that is just because they do base the price they sell stuff on how much it actually is selling for them so it's a far more accurate representation of what each of the 3 systems is worth in a way.

(those prices are all pre owned of course but still come with a 12 month warentee)
