360 is the only right answer.

OG Xbox deserves a lot of kudos for introducing western RPGS to console (Fable, Elder Scrolls, KOTOR, Jade Empire...)and being at the forefront of FPSs and generally being a beast of a machine (online included).

Xbox One lacks the novelty and console exclusives of the OG Xbox or the 360, it lacks the graphical leap of either system too. Its a well rounded machine but doesn't excel anywhere.

Well said. OG Xbox deserves a lot of love, but overall 360 is the better mousetrap. Xbox One is a real letdown in comparison :(

Original Xbox.

Halo 1 and 2.
Kotor 1 and 2
Morrowind
Best version of Splinter Cell Trilogy (rest in peace Splinter Cell)
Sid Meier's Pirates
That RPG made by Bioware with chinese Mythology settings (can't remember name)

Jade Empire.

How do you feel about the fact that all of those games were also available to the PC though?

Edit: Disregard the question, seeing the reason you're banned I'm fine not entering a discussion about your thoughts on this. But yeah, Jade Empire was that Bioware game and it was pretty damn awesome at the time.

I see you crossed out the question but I want to point out the Xbox at the time was kinda like an affordable gaming PC.

Some games simply werent scaled back for PS2 because the specs were so weak and very different from a PC. So something that was great about Xbox back then doesent matter much now sinc the average PC can better handle those games.

Yeah indeed, a lot of my mates at the time referred to it as a mid range gaming PC in a box. I guess it was in the name originally :) just a Direct X box for playing your games.

I know what you mean though back when it launched it was an all inclusive package for playing games too, no fiddling around with hardware, no need for gaming mouse/keyboards just took out all the hassle and gave games like Morrowind on the big screen. (I lost so many hundred hours into my GOTY version of that you wouldn't believe).

My question was more just a case of... if you look at a console and think what are the best games that it bought to the table, say... if it was the GC you wouldn't often go to games which were on other platforms too, or the same with the SNES you would rarely go to games which also had megadrive ports, but this persons list exclusively are games which also appear on the PC.

I think he missed some glorious games which were only on the Xbox like Blinx the Time Sweeper and the amazing remaster of Conkers Live and Uncut.

The platformer stuff may not have appealed given he named several WRPGs.

Anyhow, people are clearly remembering Xbox for what it gave them at the time. PC being a more viable option now doesent change their memories with Xbox. Frankly, we might have missed the window to enjoy those games if PC was the only option.

360 takes it by lightyears for me; it had a massive library with tons of excellent games, generally superior multiplats, amazing graphics for 2005 hardware, Gears 1-3, Halo 3/4/Reach, etc. Yeah, the early models were horribly unreliable, but on the whole, it's a great system.

The original Xbox was a beast in its time, Halo 1-2 rocked, and multiplats were generally best on it, but the controller was less comfortable than 360 and it just didn't have as many great games.

I don't really have anything good to say about Xbox One, so I won't dwell on that.

360 by a large margin. Online, unique IP's, better version of multiplats, incredible indie games. XOne doesn't have that same aura to it.
