Forums - Nintendo - Do you ever cheat at video games

Never cheated beyond using a guide and even they aren't something I really use anymore

The first time I got into Zelda I had to use gamefaqs, ideas such as exploding plant life and boomerangs that could carry objects seemed unusual. But once I got used to the game it was more rewarding to complete without help.

The only time I consult gamefaqs now is when facing the puzzles that involve sliding squares to form a picture. I've never been able to do them, even those tiny ones that drop out of Christmas crackers... too frustrating.

I don't cheat.

The only games I cheat in are GTA games, and only after 100%. Although, I may have a cheating file.

I wouldn't cheat if I was playing a multiplayer game. If I'm playing on my own then I'll do whatever produces the most fun experience. I'd much rather find a walk through or whatever than sit there cursing at the TV after failing to do something for the 40th time.

After I beat it, i might.

360 achievements have brought on a whole new era of 'cheating'. Call me a scorewhore or whatever but looking at those achievement guides are a must now to obtain those points.

If I'm really stuck, I'll try and look it up. Many times, looking up the answer is followed by a "wow... that was obvious... and I didn't realize it?" so and then I move on.

When it comes to games like Roller Coaster Tycoon or The Sims, I'll usually cheat because I just want to have fun and not bother with all the other crap of money and stuff. For example in Roller Coaster Tycoon, I don't want to bother with all of the other stuff, so I'll build a flat and large level and give myself unlimited money so I can just have fun building whatever I want.

When it comes to online games, no cheating for me and I dislike it when people cheat. It's very annoying in a game like Counter-Strike where from one side of the map, a cheater picks off (through all the walls and such) everybody on the opposing team on the other side of the map with headshots within the first 10 seconds of the round. Yesterday, I saw a sniper in TF2 strafing back and forth quickly with no actual time to aim or charge up a shot, yet 100% of his kills were headshots.

I don't cheat, and I try my hardest not to use walkthroughs. I'm currently stuck in a part of Pokemon Pearl, and I'm almost to the point where I have to look it up. I really don't want to though.

There was one time when me and some friends were trying to beat Syphon Filter 2 on the PS1 that we were using a strategy guide. It actually made the game more fun that way because we were following the specific instrucions in the book, and it felt like we were accomplishing even more than if we were playing without help.

I used to cheat on The Sims, but I don't anymore. I like sending them to work and having them make their own money.

Add me on Xbox Live: TopCat8

i try to create 2 game saves/profiles when playing a game

one would be played without cheats

the other would involve the use of ACTION REPLAY!!!

action replay ftw!

im wanting a game genie for smash bros and the boss mode on intense haha, thats its insane!

I usually look at guides when I'm stuck but if that doesn't get me anywhere then I just practice what I have trouble with or bulk up my character.
Or I just ask my friend for help.
I H8 actions replays!!!!
dude, who spends 20 bucks just to get the cheats u want (pokemon etc.)
just get over it!!!
it is a game!!!!
