There was a thread yesterday about which game review sites are the most trusted and which are the least trusted. The general consensus was that IGN is highly trusted by just about everyone, and Gamespot the the least trusted by just about everyone. There were not many reasons given, so I am asking:
Why does everyone distrust Gamespot so much?
The reviews are well written, make sense, and they don't seem to have too much of a bias one way or the other. I like their new review system of merits and demerits. Am I missing something?
Why does everyone trust IGN so much?
Having different teams for each console is an interesting idea, but it seems to break down for multiplatform games. I want to know which version of the game is best, but the scoring between the teams can be so different it is hard to tell.
