I don't really know losing faith in gaming even means. I never had "faith" in gaming, as that implies an absolute belief in something intangible, and I don't know what that means in terms of gaming, which is completely tangible and something I never have required to profess belief in, I just play and enjoy.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I think so, I have a lot of VC games, maybe more than WiiU games. I must say I was really happy with the console for 2 years, but this year is just a bad nightmare. There's nothing exciting about it anymore. And, well, there's just Pokémon in the last 6 months of this year. It's the only game I'm excited which was announced with a release date after June. That's just sad. What am I supposed to do in the meantime? I really have to think what to do, I'm not willing to go through another drought like this.

I don't blame you. It's simply unreasonable to expect your fans to stay with you while subjecting them to drought after drought after drought. I've gone retro and it's the best thing I've done gaming-wise in ages; tons of great games at cheap prices, no ridiculously drawn out waits for software to release.

Screw current gen, there's a practically endless backlog available to us through past systems and emulation; 40 years and 7 generations of great software just waiting to be played. Trust me, it's the way to go.

Yep, I'm doing exactly that. Going through emulation and playing with my old gaming devices which were collecting dust xD. I'm just sad because I'm not excited about the future anymore and I'm "forced" to do this. Of course, I enjoy old and retro games a lot, but it's a bit sad that I'm not looking forward to play any modern game except ZeldaU and Pokemon. I can't help but think about it...

i'm kind of 50/50 on the gaming industry

i don't like that consoles are going the phone route with new models every couple of years but i will have an open mind at E3 this year during Sony's conference when the Neo is revealed

Ubisoft, Activison, and EA are still the unholy trinity but there still at least 1 game i am looking forward from them which are South Park, Overwatch (remember Activison and Bizarred merged years ago), and Mass Effect Andromeda.

it's fucking dumb that Nintendo is only showing Zelda at E3 but it has a good chance of having the best gameplay demo at E3 and while it sucks we gotta wait until 2017 its probably gonna be better due to more polished and added content cause of it.

the fact that Nintendo still makes completely stupid and unnecessary localized changes is still baffling,

i have never had more respect the Xbox division more then i have right now because of how Phill Spencer is running the show.

Persona 5 and Final Fantasy 15 are finally coming out and i think Square Enix is the by far the best major third party publisher this gen after how bad they were last gen.

Konami is sadly making profits

David Cage has a new game coming out which means it will likely have terrible writing and pacing which will create another fantastic LP from Super Best Friends.

though gamers waste too much fighting with each other, gaming journalist are still some of the biggest morons/shills out there, and games cost way too much make these days which already are having bad effects on the industry and i'm willing to bet will cause another crash.

Yeah, it's hard to give up the excitement of getting hyped for upcoming new releases, but that excitement brings a lot of negativity with it; the frustration of long waits and delays, toxic fanboy wars, horrid game droughts, corporate lies, etc. I've found I'm actually a lot happier and more stress-free now that I've let go of all that and stopped caring about new releases.

Not video games, but in the communities...

No, i just want to buy Zelda NX.

Game industry, a bit. Gaming itself, definitely not. Gaming is a hobby. Why should I lose faith in my hobby?

If the consoles start getting upgrades I'm going to seriously start questioning things. I probably won't stop completely but it'll suck not getting a full lifespan on the front end out of the PS4. Cannot do PC as I don't like to keep an eye on framerates to see if I need to upgrade or checking the specs for new releases to run well or be adjusting crap and installing drivers and such.

I am Iron Man

Why would I be? I get to play the kind of games I like. As long as I can do that, I'm good.

Never really had faith when it comes to gaming.

I just play games, and if companies do dumb crap, then ultimately, it is what it is .

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
