Good updates, the games database really does need a lot of work and this should go a long way in fixing and then preventing duplicates.

Quick question, can we expect up to date data on games with either missing or outdated data?

You mean sales data, or other kinds of data, such as release dates?

 Both but especially sales.

Missing EU sales is something that needs to be filled in (basically all PSP data, several other games too)

Also, is there any chance of a better search facility, like in games when you search "Rome Total War" there are no results, you have to search "Rome: Total War," and also things like Ratchet and Clank vs Ratchet & Clank

The site updates just keep on coming! Thanks ioi!

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Thanks ioi..with this the Vg chartz Empire will increase...

much needed.

I was just thinking it would be cool if all of the mods/admin or whatever could start a review section. Each one could review the game(hopefully without too much fanboy bias... lol) and the official VGC score would be composite all the the reviewers(mods etc) on VGC. It would be kinda like what fam does in Japan with the 4 reviewers, but could be as many as what? 10-15? I think having it be a composite score would give the score a more community feel rather than one persons opinion on a game(like Gamespot or IGN)

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

I would love to write for VGchartz and be a contributor, but I'm not sure I'm what Ioi's looking for. I guess I could ask a few question about it. After all, it wouldn't hurt to do so.

Great updates--I don't add a lot of games, because I've found it confusing, but I'll be doing it more often now!

Also, I'd be interested in writing some opinion pieces and other assorted stuff--a sample of my writing is available here: http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=21612

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
