Forums - Sales - PS3 outsells the XBox 360 for the 17th week in a row.

Way to beat a dead horse people, every week the Sony vs MS fight starts, how about this suggestion, STOP POSTING NUMEROUS THREADS ON THE SAME TOPIC EVERY WEEK. People can read the front page, no one posts a thread every week the Wii out sold the PS3 and 360 cause it would be beating a dead horse.

Everyone thinking of posting these threads remember this, if people are in these forums they should be able to read, maybe not spell so well as many dont but they can read the front page and the sales chart, no need to tell them in a forum post.

I thought PS3 was outselling 360 by 50,00 a few weeks ago? Sub-30,000 levels would mean its' getting smaller.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

The 360 had a price cut in the EU last week, if you recall.

I was laughing because while Sony was profitable with the PS1 & 2, they lost back almost their entire last decade of earnings over the past two years.

Great business model. MS should pick it up right away. Not to say that MS has a better model, they don't, but it's hardly sunshine and roses for Sony.

PS. I bolded that part because once again, you're just spitting out pure comedy. It shouldn't surprise me though; I've found that intelligence is inversely related to screennames that bash or praise a company or product. Keep carrying that torch, though. It suits you well.

I think RocketPig meant is that they wiped out all this decades profits, from 2000 to 2008, Sony only made $24 million

Exactly. I phrased my OP poorly. It's not impressive when you had the most dominant console ever - the PS2 - and basically erased the entire success of it away in two years by losing nearly $3 billion.

Well okay that makes more sense, there is still one quarter left for FY07 (08 in the above chart) for Sony, they should turn a profit for that quarter and not lose as much money for the whole year.

They did lose a lot of money this past 2 FY, but they knew the PS3 was gonna cost a fortune and it was a big gamble with Blu Ray, but it looks like it might pay off afterall.

If you look at it from 2000-2008, yes, if you look at it from 1998-2008, then no, it proves his point wrong.

However it seems he was talking about 2000-2008, his post wasn't so clear, so I misunderstood him.

Even though Nintendo would still be the most profitable, they release overall earnings reports – stake in pokemon + currency investments + some other minor things, Microsoft reports their Entertainment and Devices division which includes other sectors like computer games, Zune etc., and Sony just includes their games (PS123P) in their reports.
