The funny thing is you guys would be so pissed if every week the Nintendo fanboys made a thread about how much the Wii outsold the PS3 that week.

If anything at least keep it to one thread instead of making a new one each week.

I'm sorry but that is 100% LOL material right there.

 It is not Halo like but it does sell multiple millions, not many franchises are able to claim that.  From VGC listings, the lowest the three main games have sold is 3.96 million.  I don't think many developers would turn that down.

 A race is only fun when it's close. I hope that explain the 'excitment'. After all, nobody cares about total domination, it's those nail-biters people like.

Why do people still count this shit down. I mean you don't see Wii fans counting down every countless week it outsells 360 and PS3. Or DS over PSP.

I mean seriously it was cute the first few weeks but now its just annoying.

 Just watch. A PS3 at $299 with the big games is going to give the Wii a serious run for its crown. If the PS3 can sell on par with the Wii for the rest of this generation starting August or September, the 12,000,000 between them wont matter much. As far as third party support the Playstation brand will still be first in mind. The PS3 doesn't need to beat the Wii to remain a household name and guarantee the #1 spot next gen. It just needs to keep pace while still providing better games.

Xbox is hardcore, Playstation 3 is hardcore, therefore yes XBOX killed playstation.

If you go by that assumption leo-j, then Sony killed themselves because they were the weakest system on the market last gen, which is definitely not hardcore. They weren't content I guess with 120 million sold, they wanted 120 million sold and be the most powerful, but most powerful means expensive and you don't get to 120 million by being expensive.

Assuming you were being serious, which I almost can't imagine: lifetime profits of Sony's gaming line annihilate Microsoft's.  It's such a truism that I'm not going to go search for the numbers for you.  Anyone can, and everyone here knows it's the truth.  And if you divide total profits by years in the business for each company, same result: Sony FTW, M$ teh suck. 

Didn't MS just turn their first yearly profit?  And the profit was bullshit anyway, because it didn't count the $1 billion in costs for all the returned RRoD and otherwise bunk consoles.

And to any whose hate-filled MS hearts want to say, "PS3 is different tho, it'll lose money, it's a failure."  No, it will make sh*tloads of money by gen-end.  Great success.  Don't forget, Sony made PS2 also.  If Sony was so interested in having PS3 beat PS2, Sony would discontinue selling PS2s.  Most self-evident thing ever, but some insist that PS3 < PS2 in sales equates to failure for Sony.  Did y'all go to business school with George W. Bush?

Processing power doesn't mean anything. Still won't believe that crap until Gamecube games suddenly look better than PS2 games. Well, because nothing touches Shadow of Colossus or God of War 2.
