I'll make a bet if you guys want, the ps3 will outsell the wii by 200k the week the PS3 bundle is released world wide.

Wont be suprised if Im wrong though, the wii is unpredictable.

Of course it sold out. Just like the halo 3 xbox 360 sold like crazy, so shall a special edition steel ps3 with a pretty popular and hyped game.

Plus, bigger question is how many did they make? 100k, 500k... who knows how big this info actually is.

If its >500k then, opening week is going to be massive for this game. That will be pretty awesome news, and the first time since launch the Wii will be outsold WW by the PS3.

But, just as Halo3 only gave the 360 a couple weeks of fame, so shall MGS4, to a lesser degree I would wager as well.

in Japan yes but elsewhere as you can see sales have risen anyway I think MGS4 will continue to slowly increase the positive momentum..

the dark days for PS3 have passed

Halo 3 current sales(roughly 6 months) 7.9mill

First day takings of Halo3 $211 mill.

Prediction for MGS4

MGS4 first day 1.7 mill

MGS 4 after 6 months 3.9 mill

 I was referring to a bump that may push the PS3 past the Wii, not that overall PS3 is selling much better than last year and that good games, like MGS4, will only help keep that momentum.

MGS 4 will be this years biggest PS3 hit, seeing as I doubt we'll see neither FFXIII nor GT 5 this year.
1.8 million first day ww and 4 million first year.
Hardware should be around 350k for the launch week and perhaps 300k the week after with a more or less steady 240-280k every week after until fall.
I think GTA 4 will help tremendously until MGS arrives in june!
