Called it.

Indeed you did. I don't own this game, or a Wii-U, but Jim Sterling and his wildly out of step 2/10 review score is what put it at 69. 2/10 should be reserved for unplayable, broken trash. IDK if that's worth mentioning. His review seems harsh.

Such professionalism.

Yeah I dont think 2/10 sounds fair at all. If the game is adequate it shoudnt score anything less than 5/10. I hated Eurogamers review of Mafia 2 getting a 4/10... to me 4/10 means a game that is rubbish, and it really wasnt. 2/10 sounds like it should be unshippable...

I liked Mafia 2 well enough. Had fun with it in spite of it's flaws. 4/10 is pretty low.

Yeah, I can see why it might get a 6/10, but it's production values and general story, no way was it a 4/10. The biggest problem with Mafia was that according to reviewers it wasnt GTA... and that was a good thing, now Mafia 3 is more like GTA and Assassins creed, what we really didnt need :(

Dead Island got a 3/10 from one gaming site, and it had its problems, but as a zombie game it was a lot of fun.

Personally these days, I listen very little to reviewers, I might get an idea of a game that I wouldnt normally buy, but I know before reviews if i am buying a game or not.. but for example UC4, buying it day 1, if some reviewer gives it 6 or 7/10, I really dont care....

Star fox might be a 60-70% game for most (though I guess if you are a SF fan it might be slightly higher), but a 2/10 is just stupid as a score.

I wonder how many people still considerate the critic score ?
You know that it's just people giving their opinion like you and I. They don't have any god-like Power to determine what's better for us gamers.
The user's score should be where people look at.

User score is :  Blind loyal fans + trolls + fanboys that either always give 10s or 0s + review bots + people payed to make accounts and post scores ect.

The reason people dont use user score is because mostly its not reliable.

Yeah the user score is a pit of despair. Honestly, both scores are unreliable.

My suggestion, as always: find a critic/publication/friend that shares your tastes and follow him/her/it. Don't take any aggregate score as gospel.

As long as the thread is in my buddy, i will be here with you bro!

Just dont get upset next time when i remind you to change the score again.

Thanks for the suggestion

You've been warned about your behaviour in this thread by another moderator once already. Because of this, I myself have a suggestion for you.

On your return to the forum, do not post in this thread.

Thanks.

Wasn't upset, it's just interesting that you care so much about the score of a game you don't own and never will. Very interesting (and transparent). And the word you're looking for is remind, not remembers.

I suggest a hobby though. Knitting is pretty fun.

P.S. The score is alright with me. I give the game a 7/10.

Really man? I mean if you don't own the game, why are you so worried about its score?

Also its not doing horrible. 69 isn't wow wow, but its still a decent game. Users also appear to be quite happy as well (it has a 7.8). Hoping that we see more for the Wii U soon.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Its from a time when japanese games were quite dominand dueto Gaming being not as big as it is today. Japanese games still can hit high review scores on metacritic see MGS5, Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3 etc. But most of these games are household names and Big Budget titles.

When was the last time a japanese nieche title or an unkown IP got high meta score of even 85 or 90? It happens with so many western indies now, why cant it happen with japanese indie/nieche devolopers?

Look at Digimon Cyber Sleuth, this game has the highest user score on metacrtic for a PS4 game. How can it be only 75? This game easily deserves a 90 if indies like giana systers get an 80 or 90.

http://www.metacritic.com/browse/games/release-date/new-releases/ps4/userscore

The reason why you don't see a lot low budget japanese developers scoring well on metacritic is because they have more rubbish associated in that landscape (Remember Keiji Inafune's incompetence when it came to the Mighty No. 9 kickstarter ?) and Star Fox is hardly what I'd describe to be niche, at least back in it's glory days before Nintendo treated it like a third rate franchise ...

You know all this makes me wonder about that delay. I'm starting to think it was just to pad out 2016's barren schedule.

Dammit, I actually happen to predict a very very close number to the Metacritic!

The Thread creator abandoned the thread. Can a mod modify the title of the OP with the updated scores? There have been days since it changed and its still with the old scores.

I noticed that the thread creator has been posting in other threads but not here, so if he is not willing to change the title, either a mod change it or it might as well lock it. either a mod change it or it might as well lock it.

Since when does the forum rules stated that the thread will get lock if the thread title didn't match Metacritic? There are other review threads that didn't reflect Metacritic yet remains unlocked.
