Confirmed! Nintendo's next controller is a floating cylinder that you jam at with a stick.

Could be an AR device of some kind?If so, could be exciting!
My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Can't see it simply being an Amiibo reader. That'd be super expensive for no reason, NFC does it just fine without several cameras and internal mirrors.
My initial thought was QOL, not anything game related.
That is not a NFC reader. That's a projector that looks like it projects images onto a lampshade style "screen". I think this could be NX related.
I'm not even sure what to say.
It's a nice looking circle, I guess.
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Did you guys look at the same pictures in the first post I did? O_O
Its a projector thats lamp shaped that projects images down onto a table.
It has sensors that track your hand/finger movements when on the table surface.
It has me thinking Interactive Kinect (like MS style kinect, just a mini version that only tracks hands infront of this device).

Not sure why you quoted me? Was it because of the NX joke?
It looks more like a QoL device like I mentioned.
And instead of mentioning Kinect you could point to Leap Motion which only tracks your hands.
