Sure! I mean, yes there is difference as long as your viewing distance to screen size ratio (or whater you want to call it) will allow it to let you see the difference but "I can see a difference" doesn't mean to me that it means "I can't accept it".

I mean, if I couldn't accept games because of 720p I would have serious issues with games which don't have great graphics in general but I play games which look like potato even if they would be in 4k.

I don't care about resolution if it's a good game.

Gamers have been hoodwinked by Sony marketing this gen. They've barely released anything of quality lately to justify the argument.

I still play games in 144p, 240p, and I am fine with it. If I have the ability to play at 1080p I prefer that, but if I don't have the ability I will play at lower resolutions and be okay with it.

in Gen 9, meaning when the NX rolls around, there will be no excuses to not have 1080p

I have been gaming since BEFORE we called standard definition standard definition. I remember when 480 was a big deal, and I mostly grew up on 240 games. I am most certainly fine with 720P games.

My only gripe is, that if you bought a new gaming console, it should support a higher resolution than LAST GEN. Playing Xbox One games, for example, in 720P feels pointless. Like you may as well be playing an Xbox 360 game instead.

I really think that this threat and associated poll is misleading at best since it's the application of the resolution among the choices given that is the real issue rather than the 720p resolution itself. So let me also say that 1080p is ALWAYS better that 720p. So in line with the topic, 1080p is MORE acceptable than 720p. There's no question about it.

As I've said elsewhere, 720p is just fine by me.

Games like Star Wars Battlefront and Quantum Break on Xbox One or Mario 3D World and Captain Toad Treasure Tracker on Wii U look gorgeous at 1280x720 in my opinion.
