I don't care what resolution games are at as long as they run good. That being said, I DO notice the difference between 720 and 1080 since I sit so close to my TV.
I got a 4k TV and I've got my PS3 and 360 connected to it. Everything looks decent but I don't know the resolutions. Even Mass Effect looked fine when I played it the other day. Maybe I'll try some old Wii games.

Well, Mass Effect is 720p.
It depends on the game (and the size of the screen) but generally no.
Granted, I work with graphics, so I'm more sensitive to this stuff. I can't NOT tell the difference between two resolutions at a glance.
