Gamemaster87 has proved COUNTLESS times that he has plenty of FACTS that NX won't be released this year, november 2017 the sooner! He claims the wii u isn't dead and I believe him! Long live the wii u! My guess is 17 or more games. 14 will be first party (like pikmin 4 and that super cool new Animal Crossing game gm87 talked about) and 3 or 4 third party!

N64 had 3 in 2001, GameCube had 3 in 2006, game development was much cheaper then.

The bigger question is not that. The bigger question is if NX does not launch until 2017, what realistic chance does it have of any real market success?

If people think Nintendo can show up with something slightly better than a PS4 in 2017 and have good success with it ... they are higher than Cheech & Chong. Not only will the PS4/XB1 have huge head starts by then, even the PS4K will have a headstart and it will likely demolish the NX in performance.

4 titles, one will be Metroid.

The Metroid producer already basically shot the idea of Metroid on Wii U down. That ain't happening. 

He just said "if we started now", but who's to say they haven't started a while back? 

Highly unlikely, Metroid Prime would be huge project in any case, no way Nintendo woud release Metroid Prime on Wii U when NX will be already on market.

Because the console won't be on the market. It'll be months away. Metroid will hit Summer, NX will hit Nov.
