That's rather ironic.  I knew exactly what you were talking about, but not due to John, it was due to Donnie Wahlberg, who played the role of Carwood Lipton in Band of Brothers, I was/am obsessed with that series, and everyone in it.   Heh, I didn't give it a chance though, I just remember somehow getting wind of it due to Wahlberg's involvement.

I regret never seeing BOB. I saw one episode with David Schwimmer in it. Wad as good as I'd heard. It was mid stream during a marathon on HBO, and I never followed through on my plans to watch the series. Someday hopefully.

It's an absolutely fantastic series, and there are only 2 episodes w/ David Schwimmer in them.  So you either saw the beginning, or near the very end of the war from their perspective.  I own both DVD and Blu Ray boxsets, and have read books by Webster, and Winters' Biography.  As well as the Ambrose book.  So yeah, I was pretty obsessed with that series. haha.   Also, several of the sites you see throughout BoB, are in Call of Duty 1 and 2 (Carentan and Foy, for example).   I used to watch BoB, once a month :)

Welp, I think that's a bit too much. I didn't feel that the movie was that bad. Not great, sure, but it has its great moments, and the acting was really good the whole movie. Affleck is maybe the best Batman I've seen. I really liked the simbology behind Superman (all the God thing was kinda of engaging for me), some action scenes were really well done. On the other side, the tonal excesses (it's a Snyder movie after all), some bad CGI, the movie really goes nowhere, so it feels like "part one" but without a proper and well-grounded plot, which is also very convoluted. But there's some things to rescue about the movie. I must say that the more I think about it, the more I like it. I'm now in the "decent" territory.

going through the thread i find it hilarious fans are mad so they're throwing shade at Marvel for no reason. Hilarious.

I think there's plenty of reasons. They must have escaped you.

I just dislike Zack Snyder's vision of Superman. He told a well loved charismatic abs colourful character and coloured him and his world piss and brown, draining all joy, emotion and intellect out of this character and the world he is in.

I hope they drop Snyder abs get a better director in. Snyder's last few films have been far too reliant on his favourite colour drained art style, cgi and grit. We need a good story teller and someone that can give a bit more depth to characters.

My Twitter survey shows that the reactions are 4-5 positive to 1 negative.

Women are specially loving the movie.

Zack Snyder is a terrible director and I am not surprised at the rotten tomato reviews.

So, you did. It watch it? Also, your post is illogical since he has several movies that has had good reception.

Honestly, as long as Zack Snyder is directing these films, I won't expect much from any of them. He's done some good films in the past, but those days seem to be long gone. I haven't seen this film yet, so I'll reserve judgement for now, although every single reviewer I usually tend to agree with has called the film mediocre at best.

Did those critics give The Phantom Menace and Indiana Jones 4 a thumbs up?
