Forums - Nintendo - "Alleged" photo of NX controller "leaked": We might as well discuss this now

That's one ugly looking controller. Hope it's fake.

Around the Network

Out of these:
1) This is the NX controller.

2) The NX controller is more like the gamepad.

3) NX handheld won't have dual screens.

4) Handheld and home console won't run the same games at all.

I think number 1 is fine.

It doesn't look comfortable to hold, then again the Gamepad also didn't and it's very comfortable.

I STRONGLY disagree with this... it's by far one of, if not THE, most uncomfortable videogame controllers I've ever held... but y'know, opinions and stuff, eh? :P

Out of the home consoles I've used, I'd personally give that title to the Dreamcast controller. Plastic analog and I can never get my hands to reach the triggers comfortably.

OT: That controller looks.. erm... interesting. I feel like someone was just trying to emulate the patent, when I feel the real thing would be a bit more refined than that, or not look like it at all.

I remember the first photo of the dual shock 4 and everyone said it was fake or ugly but it was in fact just an early prototype.

Probably same thing here with nx. The basic concept is finished but expect a few tweaks to the final build along with the Nintendo logo once it's official.

Why the heck there's buttons over the image screen, wtf. xD

You bash them for some you dont even know yet..?

Its like if I made a picture/video of a "brainwave controller" and called it "NX new controller" And you then sayd.. "Have Nintendo seriously not learned from Wii U that people don't want an expensive novelty controller?"

I'm not bashing them, I am simply pointing out that costly novelty controllers are generally viewed negatively by gamers these days, and certainly did Wii U no favours.

Just pointing out that you ask.. "have Nintendo not learned anything?"  it makes no sense.. becourse its not from Nintendo..

You could say.."I really dont hope Nintendo make an expensive novelty controller" that would make sense.. (imo).. but enough of that.. :)

Someone turned the image in the OP to show what sides are up, down, left and right:

Also one thing people should realize: the fact that the thing looks uglyand unfinished isn't neccesarry a sign of the thing being fake. Here's a PS4/Dualshock 4 devkit which leaked days before the PS4's announcement

I don't get the second picture...

but the connector cable would have Nintendo on it normally so fake (like that came as a surprise to anyone.. :p )

It's to detect photoshopping. The image suggests that it hasn't been photoshopped, at least not significantly.

If that's the controller they better don't release NX because i can easily see it doing as bad as Wii U.

I said "if it is real". I make room for the possibility it's not. But Wii U has made it abundantly clear how the market feels about overpriced novelty controllers.

This is definitely fake. It looks too awful to be real.
