Someone turned the image in the OP to show what sides are up, down, left and right:

Also one thing people should realize: the fact that the thing looks uglyand unfinished isn't neccesarry a sign of the thing being fake. Here's a PS4/Dualshock 4 devkit which leaked days before the PS4's announcement

It's to detect photoshopping. The image suggests that it hasn't been photoshopped, at least not significantly.
