Try using him for a while to learn and understad how does he work, that will help you deal with him.

Yep, I think I'll start to fight with more fighters. I didn't try enough to know that Pikachu suits me the best. Well, I'm not very competitive so in the end I'll end fighting with the more character which provides me more fun :P. But I think it's very good. I could dash easily long range attacks, and it works fairly well with all the other Pokémon. Except most heavy hitters like Blaziken or Machamp, but I'll work on that.

If it helps any (I know it doesn't lol), I just learned that Gengar's Burst Attack doesn't punish Braixen's boomerang into up strong attack like most other Bursts would, it just gets nullified completely. I love how what should have been a dumb mistake on my part led to a significant discovery. xD

Aw man did I just have a super clutch mirror match! I'm currently rank D4 while the enemy Braixen was C5 with a great winrate, yet we were so even it came down to the wire in all three games! We both had just 1HP left before he took the first game, and the next two I won by having just a tiny bit more HP when time was called! I thought for sure my undefeated in mirror matches streak was finally going to end, but it looks like it'll last a bit longer!

On the flipside, I have yet to beat a Gardevoir. Maybe it's a bad match-up, but most of the ones I've faced don't even seem that great. I just gotta figure out how to beat that ridiculously strong field phase game she has.

So I've been playing a bit and getting my ass handed to me but I like playing the 2 Pikas and Braixen. Don't know if I should try and pool all my time into one character though

I think the game is simple enough to play more than 1 character efficiently.

Damn I thought I would end the single player league with a 100% win rate but this damn pikachu libre beat me. After I beat the last league I'll start ranking online.

Got this game yesterday and been having a lot of fun with it! I've only really played as Pikachu Libre but I have tried Braixen and like her a lot. I just wish the single player campaign was more challenging and if there they do make DLC they should add Greninja and Jigglypuff, like a Smash Bros. reunion :p

The campaign does get more challenging, some of the boss fights get downright hard.
