We have it as 1.2M sold digital+physical don't we?

What? You looking at SFV or SFIV?

SF V. Front Page, 1.2M sold through.

Wow, who'd have thought all the threads and talk about what a flop TR was and how badly Squeenix screwed up making it timed exclusive and now SFV is looking to be performing even worse. Also surprised to see ROTR outsold the prequel on 360 in the first 10 weeks?

Why don't you compare relevant games if you're talking about who did good exclusive deals.

Tomb raider 2013 a year old port on the ps4 and x1 sold 2.5 times better on ps4. ROTTR would have sold double on ps4 than x1.Thats a shit ton of lost sales.

SFV has shipped 1.4m and less than 200k of those were on pc.  You'd be looking at the 360 version selling a fraction of the ps4 version.  Not a lot of lost sales at all.

Compare apples with apples not oranges with oranges.  logical.

Because them he would have to accept that RTR done worse and it would be against his point/agenda.

Very funny way to compare a game... looking only at the timeframe you hope it to have a winning chance

I did this time frame because 10 weeks gives you a vibe of how a game is doing. SFV is just below RotTR, its well below expectations for Capcom.

Dude, even right now RotTR and SFV sales are at par. Let just admit Capcom screwed up assuming they are fully responsible for how SFV launched.

Are you sure it's because it gives the vibe? Then why not one year? Or just FW? Seems pretty arbitrarily set to comply with what you though would be the most favorable situation for your assumption.

Of course Capcom screwed up, certainly on the execution and content. The only question is really how much is the loss potential of skipping X1 and if Sony paid enough for it to be worth to them. But looking at how screwed they done, anything Sony paid probably offset what they lost from X1 in this mess state (on a good release we would still be totally clueless).

So capcom stated they're shipped numbers or you're assuming they are?

My apologies for not understanding the thread. The title said first 10 weeks sales.  I didn't know you meant VgC only. I just assumed if new sales information was available it was relevant to the context of the thread.

In a nutshell, I'm just going with VGChartz. We aren't even sure if SFV numbers are shipped or sold, too little info and far from VGChartz.

If we had the exact sales figures from both SE and Capcom that would obviously trump this site. But we don't have that info.

Your thread title isn't about VGC and you used non-VGC to reinforce your RTR numbers while denying them for SF V numbers so it's very confusing. Even more when we constantly see how wrong VGC gets things, even having more 3DS and WiiU sold than shipped.

The Number is Shipped but just count  the Sales until March 31, they Shipped 1.4 Millions of Units, this is 7 Weeks after Launch, the game sold 160 on PC as of May, so the game sold more than 1 Million on PS4 in less than 10 Weeks, those are Official statements, Microsoft Stated that all the games of the 2015's Biggest Line Up sold more than 1 Million of Unit (i don't remember if the term was "Above" or "More") this does not means Much more.

And is silly to compare VG Chartz's Numbers when we have Exactly numbers from Capcom, and a Vague Statement from Microsoft that can put Tomb Raider in Any number between 1-2 Millions but probably are low 1 Million Numbers.

I wasn't trying to compare VGZ numbers.  I thought it made sense to look at relevant sales information since the thread was about 10 week sales.  I agree if the numbers are confirmed then it makes sense to talk about them but I did not make the thread.  He said he did not wish to consider them and I simple respected it.

This is kinda weird do deny facts in a Sales thread, Sales and numbers are facts and not opnions.

I will give a example of using Opinion over Fact. look at this gif that i have from Street Fighter V's developer, he seems happy in this Gif, we don't have anything like this from a Tomb Raider's Developer so Tomb Raider perfomed worse than Street Fighter V because the developer aren't happy like the Street Fighter Developers

Tomb Raider: 1 million sold through in 2 months.
Street Fighter V: 1.4 million sold in in 2 months.

...It's close.

That said, when Tomb Raider will release on PS4, it will litterally crush Street Fighter.

You're comparing RotTR VGChartz numbers VS what we suspect is SFV shipping between PS4 (physical and digital) and PC.

Lol no. I never use VGChartz.

I compare Microsoft numbers ( which include digital ) to Capcom numbers. Both are official, not an estimate, this is what i use.

I am not denying anything.  When I said it made sense to look at relevant numbers I meant the confirmed numbers from the publishers as well as VGchartz and whatever else might be available.  In other words, I agree with you.  I wasn't the one saying we could not use outside numbers, that was the OP.  I actually think all sales data should be discussed so it actually gives a clear picture to the thread topic but I was not the one who created the thread and he made it clear he does not want to use anything but VGchartz numbers.

If this is only using VGC data (which when looking at it, makes no sense in the face of official numbers), the thread title needs to reflect that.

It's kinda pointless to discuss numbers that we already know are wrong and that at one time will be corrected... plus the OP even saying he uses VGC data, used outside data to reinforce his point while ignoring outside data that would deny his point.

In 10 weeks we saw RotTR go from modest start to very respectable finish. In that same period we saw SFV have an amazing first week to abysmal legs.

When SE releases the figures for shipped, digital, and multple platforms perhaps we can compare that as well.

All MS said was well over a million, that isn't an exact figure like Capcom threw out.

Also, there is the shipped vs sold thing.

Anyhow guys, we can revisit this thread in the future if we get new info, numbers change, etc.
