Wii U Exclusive Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Got a Change of Clothes to Hide the Heroine's Cleavage

In the latest Nintendo Direct, Bill Trinen from Nintendo Treehouse and Satoru Shibata from Nintendo Europe (depending on which version you watched) talked about Atlus’ Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE (formerly Genei Ibun Roku #FE) mentioned that “the game is based in Japan, so we’re keeping its original voice over track.”

Unfortunately, there is something that isn’t being kept like the original, and that’s the clothes of the characters, or at least from what we can see for now, one particular costume worn by the heroine Tsubasa during an anime cutscene.

This is the original:

This is the new version, that we can see in the new trailer showcased during the latest Nintendo Direct. [...]

As you can see, Tsubasa’s cleavage, which is in plain sight in the original due to a sheer vest and a bikini top, has been covered with a top and a different vest in the localized version.

This change is worrisome, considering that the game has plenty content that could be consider mildly titillating, including gravure modeling featuring characters in bikini and more.

[...]

This process of making the heroines’ clothes more tame, actually started even before the game got localized. One of the outfits for Kiria was changed to be less revealing with the addition of trousers prior to the Japanese release.

It’s definitely strange to see this kind of changes made in a completely random and arbitrary way in some parts of the game, while others that are arguably equally revealing remain untouched, and we’ll probably never know the full extent of it until we get our hands on the title.

Opinions about this? I don't see what problem the one in charge of the edit has with cleavage. Doesn't he (or she!) enjoy the views?

Heard about this yesterday I believe.

Considering how Nintendo always does this, and considering how microscopic this change is in the long run, I really don't care.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Oh ffs, NINTENDO JUST FUCK OFF WITH YOUR BS CENSORSHIP.
You know what doesn't sell somebody on your game, covering her up. You know what turns people off of buying it though, EXACTLY THAT!!!

With an Atlus game, you really never know. Maybe there's a whole sidequest dedicated to cleavages!

At this point these kind of news doesn't surprise me anymore.

I would've cared a while ago, but this is so commonplace with Nintendo these days it's hardly a surprise

Nintendo is bipolar

Going out of your way to cover up barely noticable animated cleavage has to be the greatest thing ever.

OMG she has a shirt on.

There's other tit parts that aren't covered though... Which makes it seem like they just wanted her casual costume to be more casual instead of tits out, like her battle armor is.
