Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Funding Beyond Good And Evil 2 (RUMOUR)

I quite like Beyond Good & Evil and it would peak me interest if Nintendo was doing this. it seems strange though, I'm not sure if I buy this leak. it would be a risky investment depending on how much they put into it, arguably too big of a distance between now and the original game

And Beyond Good & Evil 2 has been in development's hell. It was announced in 2008, 6 years ago!

Might want to check your arithmetic, there...

What are you talking about?

Anyway, back to the newly released Tropical Freeze...

2008 wasn't 6 years ago.

EDIT: It took me a moment to realise what you had done, there. I see it, now.

Nintendo and Ubisosft's gains seem really over hypothetical. I doubt this can be true.

I doubt it.

nope- not true-  don t believe it

IMO Nintendo will make some noise re 3rd party dev sfor the NX and they will have some core games for the launch window (both in order to atract the day 1/ early adopter crowd for the launch window)  but the NX will end up being a console directed at the casual crowd...the blue ocean

I have doubts, that Geno source predicted Pokmeon Plus/Minus which turned out to be fake. His track record isn't full proof.

Trev/SuperMetalDave I believe definitely has sources but I think this Geno guy is just making stuff up (Google Pokemon Plus Minus to see).

Also I don't think Nintendo would finance a Western developed sequel/franchise.

If it was just Geno, I wouldn't believe it, but Destructoid had another source saying the same things. That adds credebility.

I seriously hope this is true, though. This is an extremely good exclusive to secure for many reasons, the biggest of which being that it's a western AAA game. That is a huge indication of how Nintendo intends to brand this platform, and that is a very good thing.

This is exactly the kind of exclusive I've been saying Nintendo needed to get in the early years of the NX while they started building their own western studios. If E3 hit's, and they show off this as well as revealing that Retro's new game is also a western-style AAA game, my only reservation on the potential success will be alleviated, and that will be such a relief.

The original may not have sold well, but this game has a much better chance of doing well, especially because of how good it looked graphically last time it was seen.
