That's a convoluted response you made there.

Also we don't know how big the cast is gonna be, we don't know how much grinding it gonna be need to unlock the every chracter, but its a safe bet Capcom is gonna encourage people buy in game currency versus doing many hours of grinding.

This is why I believe Capcom will eventually release another version of the game that will have content unlocked. Techincially, a version that includes microtransions and sold for $40 - $60.

I bought a used copy of USFIV for $10 recently. And guess what, I didn't have to grind for the characters! That's what Capcom is going to sell maybe a year or two from now, a version that excludes grinding and it'll probably be $40 or $60.

They will not release any other version of the Game, the Price drop throught the time, so they will release a Blu-ray, with all the DLC, and just that, they will not release a new Version.

I'm gonna stop you there.

If they release another version that has a lot of content unlocked and therefore has a higher price. That's the same as releasing another version.

You want to argue semantics but you actually agree with me.

This is not another version of the Game, is just a version with everything that you can get In-game Coin, already unlocked, is like selling GTA, with all the hair cut, and costumes, that you can get within the game, without real money.

If there is a version of the game that includes much of the content unlocked from the start that would normal require grinding or DLC, its a new version.

The reason why is simple. It has more value then the original release, its superior.

This game is awesome, I've played street fighter since SF2 and I can now say with confidence that SFV is easily the best it's ever felt, it's responsive and fluid and the fights just generally feel better than the others. And obviously it looks stunning. I can understand people frustrations by not liking being forced to go online as it can be a hard place to go but personally I think online play is much better than any arcade mode.

if Someone purchase KI, they purchased 40US$ and after 2 years from launch with 18 Characters, Stret Fighter, is the Ultimate fighting game of the genre, and with 60US$ already begin with 16 Characters, and in 1 Day, you can farm the Money for 3 More characters, without need to pay anything more.

So you rather pay 40US$ For something that already would be on KI, than Paying 60US$ on Street Fighter, already  begining with nearly more characters than KI, and geting Every future character for Free ?.

60US$, Street Fighter, will have 5 years of support, this is 6 Characters per year  + 16 from launch = 46 Characters for 60US$, all the modes, and the best fighting game of the genre.

40US$, Killer Instinct, 18 Characters, all the Modes +20US$ per year with 8 characters per Season, if have 5 years of Support (Season 3 already is this year, so is 60US$ + years of season) =160US$ for all the Characters 66 Characters, and already with all the modes.

Do you really thing that KI, deal better with this kind of thing, than the possibility of getting everything with In-game Money, that already showed that don't need to grind forever to get the things for free ?.

In the end of day you paid 160US$ because KI, does not let you purchase with In-game Money, Street Fighter V, will only have 1 Version, soon enought will be at 40US$, but even now you can pay 60US$, and get what KI, would make you pay throught the Years,  but for Free, with in-game money.

That's a convoluted response you made there.

It seems it doesn't matter how many times Capcom reiterates, people still think there will be additional versions being released. Just today there was an interview posted on N4G, again clarifying that there won't be another version of SFV. This is all there will be in this gen.

Also, it's not convoluted. I've put in about 3hrs of SP and have enough money now to get 3 out of the 6 dlc fighters for free.

Everyone is making out like it is impossible to unlock fighters for free in hopes their arguments carry weight, but refuse to acknowledge how easy it is to earn 250k fight money.

I could easily earn 140k more but I'm rubbish with anyone outside of Ryu & Ken for the tougher fights.

I'll have to disagree with you here. Just today they pointed out there won't be anything like this. It's pretty much the same as DriveClub. One base model and they will keep adding to it. The base model will not change.

I predict they won't release a new version like Super Steet Fighter or Ultra. Future retail versions will still be called SFV but have content unlocked and maybe some DLC. If I'm wrong, good for Capcom.

Well lets wait and see if chraracters will be a grind to unlock. Considering they're selling them for $6 a piece I expect a good amount of grinding.

Basically, I'm just making predictions and some people are getting worked up. Lets just wait and see.

We keep speaking about characters as it that's the measure of value for a fighting game. Yes, a specific amount is expected but it's case by case. SFii had 8 characters. MvC2 had 50+.

We can compare that all day long but certain things are standard. I admit, with SFIV, most of my time was spent in online ranked battles but there were about 10 characters I felt I was good with. In SFV, a lot of those characters aren't even available. Maybe even most of them! So many modes are missing and they don't make sense. You build on your franchise. You don't cut what people like! The mechanics may be great but the game seems like a downgrade in every way.

My PS4 fighting game controller (Hori--the best rated fight pad on amazon!) Should be arriving soon. To be totally honest, I'm actually more tempted to buy SF IV again (and I already bought that game THREE times on Xbox and once on 3DS) than I am to buy SFV n it's current state! That's crazy that I am in a position to even consider this! The only reason I'm going to grab SFV now instead of later is because I don't want to play "catch up' when the other content hopefully comes.  I want to be good at it.

I LOVE Street Fighter. This game was a day one purchase and a no brainer. When it's all said and done, to play this game, I will have purchased a $60 controller, a $60 game, and $50 PS Plus--all for this ONE GAME. The idea that I may still have to pay more money for more content (me, a guy who bought all of the SFIV costumes, even for the characters I didn't use!) disgusts me.

And don't get me started on those SFIV costumes! Release them separate and then release the discount bundles!?! Jesus, Capcom. Why are you trying to make me hate you? Remember the good times?  I just can't see how their treatment of SFV or even SFxT can be defended.  It's a shit sandwich that I'm going to have to swallow but I can't fault anyone fit complaining. I want the game to be big but it actually deserves to fail.

I wonder if we'll see SSF5 as a multiplat. Free upgrade for PS4 and PC, but Xbox and NX end up having to pay for the Super version.
