Your Capcom ID was Method115 :)

So does anybody know how much these characters and costumes are going to cost in real money? (£ $ € ¥)
It's clear I'm never going to gain the amount of FM to buy these things so I maybe have to just buy them, it's no problem I work full time and my girlfriend does aswell.

This link has a good break down of cost:

Hmmm, so the more zenny you buy in bulk the more you get for your cash, £7.99 will get you 1400 zenny which will in turn get you 2 characters with 200 zenny to spare or 3 premium costumes with 200 zenny to spare. I don't mind doing that once a month. The only other character I'm interested in other than Cammy, is Ibuki. Her combos are insane.

This is what I was thinking. I'll unlock some fighters and buy others if I really want them. I'm not interested in all the characters.

It's awesome how we get character specific ps themes too with characters we buy, although I would really like a Ryu dynamic theme.

Wow, very nice calculations. I'll save this.
And I forgot to mention that I won't be prioritizig costumes for FM. At least not from the current batch. I'm only interested in like 3 of them right now.

I checked my main SF4 account and it says I've played for 1036 hours, and played 8116 online fights.
That's around 43 days I think. But that would mean I've played 188 online matches per day? That can't be right....

Anyway, looks like a lot will depend on how much FM the upcoming modes give. The second story mode may also give some FM.
Though I don't expect it to be easy for most people to get every character and costume.

I just checked and I have that trophy. The combined levels of all characters need to be 200.

Hard mode is really random at times. Most of the time it's braindead easy, though there are few set stages which are always tough/dangerous. Then there are these out-of-nowhere random killers which can screw your entire run in a blink. You really need to put down and finish the job when you have the opportunity, the longer a match goes and especially if CPU V-Triggers, beware. Health should be prioritized at all times since you don't want to bet on the RNG-gods. You can easily fall into a bad cycle if your health drops below 50-60% after match (before supplements). I'd say when you are below 75% life, always go for health and if over 75% life, then depending what's being offered go for defense, health or attack.

There's also a trick to staying alive in Survival Mode. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but Momochi used it to beat Hell mode. Every time he was about to die, he escaped to an online match, and from what I understand was able to resume on the stage he was at after finishing the online match. Perhaps you can pause when you're low on life and wait for a match.

Yes it's 188 matches/24h but you probably didn't play many 24h sessions. It's only 7,83 matches/hour and comparing that figure to my calculations where 10 wins was needed everyday, means you would have to play roughly over 1 hour/day. However my original 20 wins for every level up was way too low since leveling from 25 to 26 you need 6100 exp. and fighting higher ranked opponents give only 200 exp. which translates to 31 wins. But you cannot choose your opponents in Ranked or Casual and sometimes you have to fight lower ranks and thus get lower exp. which increases the wins needed to level up. Then from lvl 26 to lvl 27 you need even more wins. My original calculations assumed 100% winrate because it is the fastest possible way to achieve everything. Using a much more reasonable winrate 90% means you need to fight 34,4 higher ranks to level up from 25 to 26. Using your SF4 stats means daily playtime of 4,4h just for the online wins. What I'm trying to say, my original calculations were overly optimistic favouring the player and whatever extra FM gains Capcom introduces will be balanced out.

Anyway my strat was from the very beginning to grind through the first season and then buy season pass for Season 2 and then use FM for Season 3 if it looks doable. I don't mind this currect model at all and will happily continuosly spend money. What a lot of people fail to see is that this FM-model is just an evolution of the old model which fragmented the userbase with every new iteration. I actually think the old model had more value and this new model is more expensive to players in the end. Capcom could have very well used the old model and release the new characters only through SSFV (physical+digital) without fragmenting the userbase so there's no base for the "I don't want to buy a new disc every year to keep playing" argument. Yet people all over forums, this forum included, keep shouting SFV will be supported for years with free-DLC content but what is free-DLC if >99% of the userbase has no means to access? FM is only a mirage.

I know of the trick you are talking about. Personally I tried it with Hard and it's helpful but it didn't help me finish that time. There is also chance it could break your concentration at times. The trick is to use Battle Confirmation. Start Survival while searching for Ranked or Casual Matches and change Battle Confirmation from Automatic to Manual (it might not be called Manual). Then if you get online match during Survival a message will appear bottom center of your screen. Press Options to confirm and accept the online match. This can happen only while you are in a match so pausing mid-match will stop the search too. It's helpful because if you are having a bad round and have lost a lot of health, then you can accept the online match and later resume to that Survival stage you were fighting prior. I'm not sure if you get full health doing this or just the original amount when you first started that stage. You could call it a sort of Second Chance.

But the best trick of them all. Shoryuken. 100%.

I cannot imagine toilet-free life.

Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

Dammit, I'd prefer Hadokenning it all the way. Gives me my comfort space. Don't like it when the challenges get to close lol
