Arbiter trailer!

Around the Network

KI really is the underrated gem of this generation.

Can't wait for Arbiter! I don't have the money to buy season 3 right now so I'll probably just buy arbiter :P

The post support for this game is insane! If they release a disc version with all 3 seasons later during the year I will likely get it.

This is one reason why I believe MS didn't try to help fund Street Fighter(if they could). They want this to be their SF. It'll take awhile for it to do that if it ever does because SF is a fighter phenomenon and KI took such a long break. I'm happy as hell it's still being supported like crazy. It was the reason to buy the Xbox One when it 1st released. My very 1st game and most played. Halo is catching up but wayyyyyy behind.

That never occured to me. And based on the figurines shipping very soon, Microsoft plans to build it up.

Nice.

Proud to be a Californian.

I'm surprised they haven't put a Spartan in this one. They had one in one of the Dead or Alive games. Just copy them over to KI and call it a day.

Nah, KI never looked realistic. KI looked at par with MKX and SFV even though it was a 2013 release. But with this update, it now looks top notch.

The support this received greatly exceeded expectations. Very happy with what they made here. But, I would like an overhaul on the story content. A campaign would be awesome.

The original KI I & II had the best graphics at that time because it looked more realistic than any other game. Not just because of the pre-rendered models but also the avoidance of pastels or water colors or what have you. Everything was dark yet shiney. There was neons and flames and it almost looked like the characters with skin were sweaty. The new KI has done well to do the same. It's not pre-rendered so it looks more like a video game than real life. But it's still dark and shiney and uses the neon and flames. The characters moves look more fluid and natural than ever before. Games like MKX look unnatural because of the stiff animations. SFV looks more cartoon because of the soft colors. Both MKX and SFV are stunners visually but I maintain that KI has more realism.

I was worried for a while that support had ended. It's like the best game yet new players just wanna button-mash so they don't get the depth and awesomeness of KI's combo system. Seeing all this news of Cross-buy, Halo content, graphic boosts, and season 3 has changed my perception of what Microsoft's Xbox division is all about. Phil Spencer is really coming through for us.

The story is really lacking but what could we expect. I wish there was more too. Netherrealm is doing amazing with story content. I wish KI had something like that. But KI does pretty well given there's practically no story besides character bios. Those bios are phenomenal.

Having nice graphics at the time and realistic aren't the same thing. In 94 - 96 KI looked cool, but the models had the appearance of plastic toys.

I never thought support had ended because Iron Galaxy was always pretty vocal about wanting to do more. But the support it has received has exceeded my expectations. I think people running Xbox see KI is something special and not pouring money into SFV encouraged them to support their own games I guess.

The thing is KI does have story and the endings for each chracter. The quality of Season 2 ending are better though, they make Season 1 endings look bad. If MS wants to make up for losing SFV, putting a story mode in KI could get a lot of attention.

The Arbiter is more interesting and his tech fits well for a fighting game.

But the Chief (or a look alike) would be more popular!  Just right click, copy, paste. It's easy! (I've never designed games but I assume that's how it works.)
