Take a look, he is being very reasonable here, and this is by far the most calmest Angry Joe I've seen in a rant.

I know it's not a fair comparison, but I enjoy how people are complaining about the lack of cinematics in story mode when they usually bitch about games being too cinematic these days. >=)
It seems to me (as someone who doesn't particularly care for FPS, racing, OR fighting games) that the main draw of Street Fighter 5 is here and it works, and the less popular stuff will come half a year later - kind of the opposite of the Driveclub / MCC situation.
I think his sentiments are reasonable. i agree with him that scores of 6.5 to 8, depending on the scale you rate on, is appropriate. This is a release purely for the core series fans and those expressly interested in the competitive aspect.
Also, one thing he doesn't note that I think is worth pointing out is that Capcom really hasn't done much to *earn* the trust necessary to pursue this release model.
He is not wrong at all. Had this have been a complete game it would have received high 80s on Metacritic instead of high 70s.
Saw that earlier, I agree with him.
People are complaining the game isn't scoring better. But any critic giving this game a 8 or 9 is scoring it too high.

Oh boy, apples and oranges. Wanting more story and content in a fighting game is not the same as games becoming more linear to push cinematics/scripted events.
The main draw for hardcore fans is there, as a long time SF fan I'm okay with it because I can play it now and more content is coming. But they are selling an incomplete product at full price and that's why many casual players are saying they are going to wait.
I'd argue the four campaigns are a big draw for Halo. If you removed the campaigns you have a less appealing product, like SFV. It surprises me how often MCC is brought up in SFV discussions by the way. As if MCC problems means we should ignore SFV's issues.

As I said, I know the cinematic thing isn't a fair comparison, but I think it's funny regardless. Why so serious? =p
I bring up both Driveclub because at launch online was broke, despite all marketing being #DriveTogether. And MCC...most hype I saw online (as well as the two guys I know who went Xbox this gen) was over online Halo 2 multiplayer. Both these games had single player at launch, but that's not really what many people were buying them for. Now we got SF5, which apparently has what people were looking for, but zero frills - frills get added months later. It's a weird gen 8-specific situation, one worth pointing out IMO.
I almost feel bad for being the guy not directly affected by any of this, but being greatly amused at the uproar.
Hes only this calm because he has a deal with Capcom for a board game. He flipped out in front of the camera like an idiot for less than this.
He really loves Street Fighter, that's the problem, he cant go out of his way to be fair on the game. He really tries to hide it.

Yep i cut that shit off soon as he said that. I don't pay attention to his clownish antics anyway.
