After the Nintendo Account has gone live, Nintendo has opened the preregistration for Miitomo.

Just visit the page here, click Preregister and then create or log-in your Nintendo Account.

All users who preregister a Nintendo Account to Miitomo will automatically receive My Nintendo Platinum points.

Remember that both My Nintendo and Miitomo will be launching sometime next month.

Already pre-registered. I made my Nintendo ID some time ago, hopefully this gets me enough points for something good.

I've registered both my spanish and dutch accounts. The email wasn't working even though I've made the new Nintendo Account, had to use the old NNID.

Also.. I got a better look at what Miitomo is. It seems to be a messaging app (mayble like WhatsApp) with additional features which are the Mii's. So you can chat with your friends which are also using them and some more stuff.

I wonder about censorship and "family-friendly" image. I can't see Nintendo would allow hookup via Miitomo, for example.

I signed up. I hope the rewards are going to be good again. Gameboy Micros, Game & Watch, Hanafuda cards... stuff like that.

I've just pre-registered on Miitomo, and I've just seen that the points on MyNintendo expire in 6 months since you get them. So I guess I'll have to spend them in that time. Just saying, don't keep them for too long.

Expiration on points were common in the Club Nintendo days, at least here in Europe.

I think Miitomo will be less instant messaging, and more a communication device. Sending questions to friends to have them automaticaly answered (the app will quiz you on personality/etc) or making those Mii pics to use in other social media. But if Miitomo becomes the Nintendo messenger, it'd be nice to use since up till now I've been using WhatsApp to talk to Splatoon friends.
