Come on now Kobe really isn't a winner the titles he won are mostly due to his supporting cast and great coaching he couldn't even get Malone and Payton a ring and San Antionio defeated the almost identical Pistons team a year later.

Yeah Michael Jordan isn't a winner either because the titles he won are mostly due to his supporting cast and great coaching.

Same could be said about LeBron.

And Magic.

And everyone else.

You can't really use that argument. Of course you need a team in order to win it all.

Why do you think Anthony Davis hasn't won a title? Or KD/Westbrook? It's because they have a garbage team in general. OKC has a slightly better supporting crew, but they have never won a title because their team isn't consistent in general.

Golden State is ridiculously good because they managed to have a team that sticks together. No one stands out. They all play together and dominant.

@Hershel_layton for whatever reason, my post doesn't show up. What I'm trying to say is that it is really scary that a team like GS still have money left to get an all star like kevin Durant which they are trying to for next year.

Kobe Bryant is simply incredible. He is the only player in the entire league that I can safely say that anything is possible, and he has a chance to overcome any situation and prevail. LeBron is predictable, same crap every year. Conference finals and lose, or, more recently, a loss in the finals when he choked and played like garbage. So he is exciting to watch, his stats are great, he wins regular season games. Every NBA player will say themselves that it means nothing without the championship. I personally believe they are still great accomplishments but nowhere near as impressive as what Kobe Bryant has done in this league. I mean come on people, the guy coaches his own teammates on the triangle offense in the middle of the games. He doesn't just play for his team. He makes his team every year. He builds his team and his teammates every year. His incredibly intelligent in the game of basketball and contains everything that LeBron personally wishes he had.

I was using that argument to show how silly the statement of the person I quoted was. Obviously you can't win championships with only one guy, let alone win multiple championships.

Even if think that Kobe is a winner the first three rings are Shaq's.  Jordan was the key player in all the Bulls titles.

That's irrelevant. Jordan couldn't win any championships without Pippen and Jackson. Kobe couldn't win any championships without Shaq/Gasol and Jackson. Using the "hurr durr those were Shaq's rings" is such a stupid argument. Oh btw, Shaq couldn't win any of his championships without Kobe or DWade either.

I hope that you are trying to be sarcastic with that post.  The Lakers as a team have been playing like hot garbage for almost 6 years and Kobe should have retired two years ago already.  Plus he never coached his teammates on the triagle offense in the middle of a game.  Also as somewhat of a Mavs fan I'm glad that the Mavs pretty much ended the Lakers title run for good when they sweept them in the 2011 playoffs Western Conference Semifinals.  Say what you want about LeBron him almost winnig another title last year despite playing most of the finals without two of his starters (Love and Irving) and having no bench is pretty remarkable.

KD won't go. Face it. Like other stars, he wants to stick with his home team. AD, Boogie Cousins, Carmelo, they all could have easily gone to another team and try to get a ring.

In all honesty, I really wanted Carmelo to join the Bulls. Could have had the chance to win a ring(or at least make some effort to win the conferance finals). Bulls are trash now. I don't see how they could have replaced Thibodou(a top 5 coach) with a college coach that has no experience whatsoever with a defensive team.

OKC isn't Durant's home town he was born in Washington D.C. and played basketball in Maryland and Virginia before he went to the University of Texas at Austin for one year.  So if he really wanted to play for his home team he would go to the Wizzards.

I guess you never heard of home court advatage which would have helped the Spurs a lot in  the 2004 post season.  Also if that Pistons team is so great why did it only win one title they lost to the Spurs the following year and would have easily lost to the Suns also if they would have made it to the finals instead.

You'd have a point about home court if the Spurs pushed the Lakers to 7 games, but they didn't. They lost in 6.

The Piston winning once doesn't change the fact that they made it to six straight Eastern Conference finals. How many "inferior" teams can say they've done that? As for the Suns comment, that's simply your opinion which has no merit whatsoever about the Pistons "inferiority".
