No that's what I have my PS4 for

2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

The obvious answers to both are No.
1) an OS is for far more than games.
2) this whole thing where Xbox diehards are scared having some games on PC will destroy the brand goes against current reality
the playstation has a lot of "console exclusives" that are on PC/ps4 and it still sells.
Besides, MS needs to try and make Windows store relevant instead of an afterthought for devs of games/apps etc... It's so frustrating to click on a game and have no option to buy it because it's not on Windows store or to use an app on an iPad/android device grab my yoga pro 2 (which is so much more convenient) only to learn they yet again ignore Windows store.

Marco....
I would dual boot it... would still keep windows for certain programs.
Nope. My PC is mostly for work and some media playback. My console is for relaxation and the easy setup it requires.
Vote the Mayor for Mayor!
Sure, I'd get rid of my ps4 and Dualboot the PS OS, as long as it had all the functionality of the ps4 OS (trophies, shareplay, remoteplay, party chat, etc.)

the future of gaming is current games playable on release day via multiple devices. Psnow may become that but I doubt it has that scalability or potential. |
What? Not the scalability? Wait a min, I would whole heartily disagree with that for the sheer reason on Sony's invested interests in AndroidOS
For the simple fact that right now PlayStation now is on smart TV's and its made to run on Android OS from the start. Playstation Vue is now on smart Devices such as : Amazon fire stick & player, chrome cast, iPad, iPhone & iPod touch along with The PS3 & PS4. Soon to be included into Android TV's that already in samsungs case has playstation now just like sonys own smart TV's.
The main point is AndroidTV is the default OS for smart TV's mainly by the looks of it Windows OS & Apples iOS will not be going into the smart TV for quite a while if ever. Android OS is the main OS & Sony is scaling playstation network services to be included.
I pointed this out before while Microsoft & Sony and Nintendo are all trying to put a box under the TV, Sony is taking the very TV itself & infusing PlayStation into it right on the TV. Stream content from one single playstation to any smartTV you have in your house. Or use its servers to stream ie: Gaikai on limelight housing farms to stream PlayStation or network content or downloadable digital content to any smartTV or streaming box, smartphone or tablet and yes eventually PC.
If that's not scalability , I do not know what is..lol

I thought that was a very odd comment as well. I always tell people I bought GOW3 remaster and got GOW1&2 90 day rentals for free
I thought maybe he meant stability and I was skeptical of psnow but was amazed how well it worked. It was as if I had the disc in my ps4. Granted I live in a large market and might live near a server hub or something but my goodness it worked very well indeed.
It definitely has scalability and it has great potential. The thing to be seen is whether it realizes its potential.

Yes, the outcome indeed has yet to be seen, but with Sony directly involved in The Android OS developments with such functionality they employ to be added, its a very good chance in my opinion that it will have great expansion into the market. For example.
When I pointed to PC that was also pointing to SteamOS mainly 1st option reading being.
Android OS's main graphics Api is Vulkan, As is SteamOS's also. Both Use Vulkan, now that of course would not exclude windows OS based PV's , because Vulkan also works in Windows OS also. But most likely due to code once port to all Vulkan devices.. If the developer would want to take advantage of DirectX12 functionality benefits under windows they may would want to tweak to use Microsoft's Api , but could very well just use Vulkan only.
Since Android & Steam and hell even Sony use Vulkan as a graphics Api.
With many games on steam now being ported to run on steamOS now also and not just windows only , having AndroidOS on top of SteamOS that are employing Vulkan would allow developers to code once and reach
Windows, steamOS, and AndroidOS devices in one fell swoop.

Sony already has their own Home and Mobile OS's, and yes I use them. In fact I have not used a non Sony OS for well over a year now. The PS4 and Vita OS's are more than capable of replacing Windows, MAC, Android, and iOS, and I will continue to use Sony's PlayStation OS's exclusivly until they are no longer and option.
