It isn't like I didn't want them.  I didn't have any free cash at the time to buy them.  I did put an edit in my previous post about digital.  I prefer physical but perhaps I'll just have to either buy the games used or get an external hard drive for the Wii U.

Well some games just go up in price when they go out of print. Especially Nintendo titles. If a Nintendo title you want dont do 1 million in the first month, then you should probably push it to the top of your "to get" list. I just dont think many gamers want the Selects or Platinum or Essential version of games.

They can still sell them at full price and have a reprint without lowering the price so there isn't much need to :p

Would be a nice move, but I don´t think they´ll do it. Isn´t it "too late" for that anyway? Considering the wii u is in its last year or so. When did they do it for the wii? I don´t remember honestly.
Maybe if the wii u can still be around when the NX launches, then maybe it would be a smart move if said console doesn´t have backwards compatibility, as they could still sell the wii u to new users and also sell lots of games with that new reprint and lower price.

Also, kind of off topic, but hasn´t Mario Tennis Ultra Smash sold nearly 100.000 copies in Japan alone? I thought it would sell less than that, maybe the game has sold better than expected? Anyone knows any official number for it? It has probably been a success even selling that much, because the game shouldn´t have been expensive to make, right?

For now, Nintendo doesn't Select for U. You select for Nintendo.

Maybe when the successor is out, they'll do a price drop and re-release some games for late adopters.

Beacuse its too early yet for Wii U Nintendo Selects, Wii U around 3 years on market, look when DS, Wii and 3DS get their Nintendo Selects games. Saying that I could see Wii U Nintendo Selects in second half of this year or in next year.
