My very first console.

Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Sonic 2 were my favourite games. I also loved an Asterix and Obelix game I rented once.

I never did manage to beat Alex Kidd and recently watched a YouTube playthrough to see how close to the end I'd ever gotten (about 2/3). Games were so much tougher in those days and the lack of a save system was a killer.

The last boss level in the castle was really tough. Especially when you hit a hoax box by mistake and set a ghost free.

Great that you have made a Master System thread! Very underrated console, and a pretty huge success in parts of Europe (especially brittain!) and of course, south America :). I would personally want PS higher in your list and I miss Streets of Rage and Aladdin but overall, great list :).

ALTERED BEAST

Altered Beast I got to know on the Mega Drive.

Did you liked the Master System version?

I liked every version.

Cool thread buddy!

Am I the only one who thinks games in the 80's and 90's had really cool names: Phantasy Star, Altered Beast, Streets of Rage... those are great names for games!

There were cool games but going back, not many age well.

Edit- misread. I thought you said cool games instead of names.

When I got to your thread about the longest running consoles to teach you the ways of the Master System greatness, it was when this thread started to spark within my heart.

Can I inspire you to enter vgc most sexy?

Well, let's say you suck a little less in my eyes, as of now.

Eat me, nerd.

Seems like you are some of those straight foward girls with no need for the 3 dates rules, cool!

NOTICE MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Funny story: In Brazil at that time, back around 1990, there were several NES clones being sold legally here, while there WAS NO official NES being sold by nintendo. Basically if you wanted an NES you would need to bring one from US since importing was no allowed, or buy one from the black market.

But you had the clones: Phantom System, Turbo Game, Bit System. All of them clones of the NES and selling their own cartriges.

I wanted to have a Bit System, because it actually looked like an NES. My mom went to the store and bought me a Master System. She confused Bit System with Master System. That way, the Master System became my 8 bit videogame for that generation, until I bought a SNES years later.

I still think about buying an old Bit System just to fulfill my 9 yeard old boy dream...
