Glossy can look tacky as hell. It doesn't necesarily, but the glossy picture in the OP, yeah, example of puke-worthy glossy finish.. But I guess that has as much to do with the colour as the finish.

Anywho, glossy collects fingerprints and dust way to easily, and matt just looks sleeker, but at the same time more "muted" than a glossy finish, so matte all the way!

Glossy only looks good in the commercials where they either thoroughly clean it or try their damnedest not to touch anything. IRL, your chances of winning the lottery are higher than finding a glossy finish product clean.

When I buy something new and shiny, I wan't something new and shiny. Not very practical, but I don't care.

It looks like most people (including me) want matte, which guarantees Nintendo will make it glossy.

I hope it is Matte.

I like the Glossy look each time but I know very well that the prettiness gets erased the moment it's covered in fingerprints, I'll take Matte finish any day. I even choose Matte for all my vehicles in most games that have them and have the option.

That said I chose my crystal white 3DS because with it's gloss and see through white look, it gets no fingerprints what so ever which was a factor into buying either a crystal white or black version.

I'd prefer Matte, but since it's a home console, I don't care too much about the plastic, handhelds are a different story tho.

Gloss is for babies. Nintendo needs to pick up on minimalism.XD Don't stone me.
