Has this gen been disappointing for you?

No, but only because of Wii-U. It's funny, but I have enjoyed the Wii-U 100 times more than I ever enjoyed Wii and wouldn't you know it? The console bombs lol

I don't play on Playstation or Nintendo (at least not this gen).

As for Warner, well they spat on PC gamers. Even if I'm not one, it was a shitty attitude from them. And as for Far Cry, I worry it'll become Assassin's Creed, the same thing every year.

If your not a PC gamer why worry how Warner handles them ? Aside from EA, most publishers don't give a shit about PC and and I've come to accept that when we're the minority as far as revenues go. It just doesn't make sense for you to single out Warner when others are almost as guilty and if your protesting them for just the principal it also doesn't make much sense from a personal perspective ...

As for Far Cry think of it like this, if you think they had a perfect formula as far as game mechanics go then why even change it ? Is Assassain's Creed literally the same thing every year like you say it is ?

Yes. Far Cry 3 took risks, and it ended up a great game! But replaying a similar game over and over again gets boring. I use to love Assassin's Creed, but not its a prime example of what I despise.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

So different content is not enough for you ?

No, copy and pasteing a game pisses me off. Look, it doesn't need to be totally revamped, but don't tell me you'd play the same game 50 times. I loved ACIV, because it took risks, and ended up great! But Rogue feels like the same as Unity, except for a different setting! Far Cry 4 was pretty good, but now they're just trying to repeat the formula over and over again!

So far, I've got plenty of good games to play and there's more down the road. It's already turning out to being better than last gen. There's a lot more japanese games being ported this time around.

But they aren't copying and pasting games ...

Same EXACT games you mean ?

Far Cry 4 was repeating the same formula over and over again despite being a second mold from Far Cry 3 ? I'm also pretty sure that Far Cry 4 had some of it's own changes too ...

On 2015 I think I played more old games than newer ones...at he top of my head, only games I truly enjoyed were Fallout 4, The Witcher 3 and SOMA.

I don't know maybe I'm getting old and I don't enjoy games as much as I used to, but this gen so far has been very lackluster for me.

Nintendo and PC gamer

This gen has been great for me so far. There's been a lot of games I've liked and 2016 looks to be even better.

Sony back on top: Check
FPS generally out of the spotlight: Check
Indies finding their way into consoles fairly easily: Check
I can afford them: Check

Nope, this generation has been pretty good to me. Honestly, Bloodborne alone makes it all worth it. Can't wait for Dark Souls 3 and Ni-Oh.

I also want to point out that the percentage of people who aren't disappointed with the generation is strangely close to the percentage of PS4's market share. Just saying.
